Hi Hi Katie :) I like to read your story in Bali. I'm Indonesian and just once time visited Bali for four days. I plan to visit Bali for holiday, and your story give me lot of information that I need, thank you :). So you came when Nyepi. Bali so quiet and feel peaceful, isn't it? But as a tourist, sometimes feel suck we just end up in home stay and can't visit many places while Nyepi. By the way, I so sorry for your lost and your disappointment about Kuta. Actually, Bali have a lot of friendly people, but there are always bad people everywhere.
Nice to meet you and happy Traveling. :)
Haha sounds like fun - why no skiing though?! Yeah am in Vietnam atm - tis awesome, though the traffic is scary! I've finally found something to bring back as a souvenir for you so you'll have to come down to Surrey at some point before I leave in May! xx
mikew.williams2006@gmail.com Sounds like Singapore carries on as usual - you should talk to Tricia about her trip there, although hers was a working fortnight and some 14 years ago!
Riederalp was good. I kept off the skiing and indulged myself with a good book in the sunshine on the verandah and a pot of fresh coffee for some time each day before then hiking up the snowy ridges, drinking gluvin and eating goulash soup and apfelstrudel. Played some chess with your brothers.
Where next? Your Mum said something about Vietnam/Cambodia I think - if so, don't stray off the beaten tracks, there are still a lot of nasty bangers buried in the mud I hear!
Have fun.

Roses, fuscias, tea and strawberries grown in poly-tents? Are you sure you are not back home? Ok, maybe monkey skulls and eel curry are not quite Surrey hills and I haven't yet seen plantations around Abinger. Anyway it sounds as though the beer is better at the 'Volunteer'.
Thanks for the pc. by the way.
Take care,

Haha yeah, it's awesome. I know, I'm better now, though even being sick for 3 or 4 days isn't enough to persuade me to drink tonic water! Nasty stuff. Malaysia is awesome - have to do a new update soon, but briefly, its much like England here in the Cameron Highlands. The weather is warm, and a bit drizzly, and the growing of tea and strawberries is pretty big, so everywhere you go there are little shops selling tea and scones :D. Have fun in Reideralp - I still can't believe my parents finally decide to go skiing again the year I leave home! Yeah see you September :). K x
to malaysia? Stunning photos - amazing adventures - better than any 'outward bound' school!
Sorry you got sick - hope it wasn't the 'parasite eggs' - recommend my patent tummy-settler: tonic water (quinine) and angostura bitters (wormwoood) - one teaspoon of pink bitters to a glass of tonic - swig generously.
So, in Malaysia by now? Where next? Back to the UK? It'll seem a little dull by comparison I suspect.
I'm off skiing next week, with your family in Reideralp, then away in NZ from mid-March until early May so I think we'll miss each other I'm afraid. Hope the sailing school goes well - keep blogging. Shall look forward to seeing you in September perhaps?

Sorry to hear you got sick - hope it wasn't the 'parasite eggs' - recommend my patent stomach settler: tonic water (quinine) and angostura bitters (wormwood) - one teaspoon of pink bitters in a glass of tonic. Hope Malaysia proves as exciting as Thailand - Britain is going to seem dull by comparison I suspect.

A singer who all the 12-13yr old girls love. Probably because he looks about 12 and has the voice of an 8 year old girl.
hi there How you doing? You OK?
Amazing but true, it is hot and sunny in Te Anau and we are having a ball.
Really glad we moved here.

Spooky! Hi ya, spooky was looking thru Cairns blogs, my next destination, and you pop up! It is Mark who you met in Fiji. Also spooky is you stayed at the hostel I was planning to stay at, North Greenhouse.
Funny thing is when I was on Uluru tour I bumped into an american woman who I also met at Drawanga! Hope you well and safe travels.
Mark
All the pics are from the trip I was on, though there are couple of the weirder ones that I didn't see, I did see the majority of them! I wanted to take a camera down myself but they were $40 per dive for hire :(.
Stunning fish pictures! How did you get them to pose for you?? Hope you didn't touch the stone fish! Some of the others looked a bit dodgy too. Guess that you are still alive to tell the tale so the sharks didn't get you either!
