Barbam paliumque video; nondum philosiphum JMJ. Jonathan long-shanks Lewis! I love the beard; a bunch of us are growing out our beards (as best we can) from Advent to Easter but it looks like the Spirit's moving you to start early. We love you and miss man. Have fun in Ireland!
floods! Jonathan - Great pictures of the water levels!! I studied in Venice in the spring and we never actually saw it flood - so that's cool to see! It's a great city. I'm sure you are having a blast. Be safe!
Assisi Dear Jonathan (Jo-nathan),
Thank you for always posting pictures from Italy. My mom and dad let me get on the internet to look at them. Pictures are helpful because I can't read, but I can still write of course, that is how I am writing this email...anyways...good job on going to the Santa Clara church in Assisi. When my dad was there, he saw Jim Caviezel and prayed with him at the grave of St. Clara (who is the patron saint of media). Was Jim Caviezel there when you were there? Well...I am going to chew on my toy rosary and visualize Mass in my head like Saint Clare. Good luck on your Italian final. My parents already taught me how to speak Italian, so if you need any advice send an email and my parents will read it to me.
Pace and Amore,
Mary Clare
Oh how I miss it! Jonathan- your pictures are wonderful, thank you so much for posting them!! I have lots of little comments, so I think I'll just e-mail you instead of posting a gigantic comment on here. However, I know that I always liked seeing I had a new comment, so that's why I am leaving one on here too. God bless!
i believe the expression is "when in rome" ... i see also that you still wear that esto vir sweatshirt every where. be a man mr. lewis, be a man. i am still working on a Team USA shirt for you, i'll let you know.
family hey jonathan, saw nathan, susan and little mary stella today at my house. only mary stella isn't so little anymore. she is movin' and groovin'. nathan dropped a "www dot something dot com" in front of my mom and was she ever confused. hope you are doing well and enjoying this beautiful day dedicated to our beautiful mother.
For every season Turn TURN Cool photos. Churches, food, and wine: it seems like a Jewel-paradise. I totally forgot how good looking you are. Try to lube up and slip-and-slide down the middle of one of those bling bling churches. I think I used to play softball with that girl Jessie in some of you pictures. Say hi to her for me.
Finally =0) So, I live vicariously through you now days =0) Glad to see you are still surrounded with beauty. Is it cold there yet? Freezing here! I cannot wait to see you in a few months. You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers- Maggie
The food... I like the way the food looks in Italy. I am sure it tastes better than it looks, i am not sure if it would be feasible to bring back some Italian goodies to eat over Christmas break? I hope all is well and that You enjoy yourself and live the moment. (P.S. I had a mouse in my room but I caught him, thought you would like to know).

AT&T Reach out and touch someone: the Pope! Oh so close! Those pics rock. I love the antiquity as well. Can someone say 4th century. Holla back...way back to the Early Church. Historicity! I wish I were with ya bud. Ave Maria!
You Make Me Miss Rome Jonathan, Thanks for sharing the pics and how things are going. Looks like a ruff life. I cannot wait to see you when you get back and get filled in on everything in person with all Jonathan excitement present! Hope classes are treating you well. Tell the Pope I love him when you see him next. And yes, Kansas is home for the next few months at least. So, I will see you when you get back. Love ya cuz!
Names! You need to put names on your pictures! I would greatly appreciate it if you could label places (like the Church you mentioned) so that I can know what you're talking about. I'll let it slide this time... I just had to google the church :) Also, I find this: "speaks great English, which is good since my roomate James and i do not!" amusing. You've forgotten how to speak English already, Jonathan? Such a short attention span... Have a wonderful weekend there- you're making me jealous!!
which church? Hey Jonathan. Great stuff! I enjoy seeing Rome once again...how I miss thee. I was just wondering which Church is next to you? Anyways, all is well in Denver. Drink some wine for me. Peace
eep! Hello Jonathan! I'm glad you made it there safely. It's going to be so weird reading through your posts about your travels- but I'll love it. It will bring back lots of memories!
Also, whoever gave you this idea to use travelblog must have been pretty smart- it's a nice site ;)
Have fun- and post LOTS of pictures!!!
