my missing blog
Hi Bob Shane the moderator got my blog back on so thank you for suggesting that I tried it. I never thought to write to ask if it was still there. We have had some lousy weather and are trying to head south to get some sun.

Hi Bob thanks for that I never thought to do anything like that . I suppose I guessed it was gone forever. If they can get it back it will be brilliant as I put a lot more information on it ., I bet you are feeling odd being back after such a wonderful trip . The Silk Road is so evocative. We have a Silk Road in Macclesfield and it is lined with old mills that used to use silk . We are off tomorrow for France so hopefully the blogs will become a touch more interesting although not as interesting as yours. Perhaps you will remember some of the places that we are visiting. we start at Bergues in northern france then on to Trier in germany, down to Lake Bled in Slovenia and right down to Dubrovnik with a bit of Italy thrown in. Been following Tales of a Woolly Mammoth . What a shame that motorhoming didnt work out for them. We find Suzy is a tad expensive to run and she doesnt always get where we want to go to but hey ho that is half the adventure - plan and change the plan. Hopefully their tents and Oliver will work better for them.

the ice age
Hello Woolly Sion here. I hear you have been complaining about the cold back here in England. Mum was telling me all about the Ice Age so I guess you should be used to all that cold and ice. And counting sheep - did you remember me when you counted them? I liked the idea of the I Spy book - I spend most of my time shouting " Are we there yet" and I sit in the side window waving at motorhomers as they drive towards Suzy. I am a very very devious sheep when it comes to photographs. Mum likes to take shots of the scenery as we drive along and she is always surprised when she downloads them to find me in the reflection from the mirror. Suzy wants to know if Georgie is a boy or a girl? I am counting the days down - 2 days and I will be going on a steam train. I am a contented little sheep .

Hi Bob It is snowing quite heavily here and boy am I looking forward to Spring and getting the van on the road again. We are continually planning and changing things. Looking forward to Croatia again. What we need is a lottery win and give up work !!!! How are you?

your holidays
Enjoyed your trip - it all sounded a lot more exotic than Kent and I guess your weather was a lot better than we experienced. Would you do a cruise again? It sounds as if you had a wonderful time. Winter has set in here , its a lot colder than last week and we have frost. We watched the news on the hurricane hitting New York. sounds like you had it bad. And on top of that your elections. Well where is it to next? We have booked our holidays for next April and May four weeks and Dubrovnik the final destination with a lot of Italy in between.

Hello Bob yes a misjudgement of time.With hindsight we should have gone down further and made it to Zadar, Trogir, Split and Dubrovnik but we really misjudged how long it would take to get there and back in tim efor work . We have another september trip and plan to go again to italy but next march we are definately back to Croatia and hopefull see more of Slovenia .
