Really enjoyed your trip!
Judy.... I've been loving your trip and seeing your great pictures. Thanks for sharing it all the way you did. It looks like a really good time. I would have loved seeing all that you and Joe saw!

Thanks.
We saw and did a lot, nothing was a repeat for either of us.

I'd heard great things about the Museum; your photos make me want to see it! That's too bad about the Walleye- my grandparents brought back fresh walleye pike every year, and it was heresy to fix it any other way but lightly floured and pan fried, with lemon slices ;-)

Walleye
Yes, we almost went to another restaurant to try to find fish that wasn't deep fat fried. We've had a lot of fish on this trip, so shouldn't complain.

Seen the Greenes?
Ed and Loretta Greene have been posting photos on Facebook of their current travels up that way. Seems that some of the photos are of the same subjects as yours, but I can't be sure. Say hi if you see them. Haha.

Kirk Sterling grew up, well part of the time, in Skaneateles- and his mom Jan still lives there. Beautiful pictures, especially of the falls.

Skaneateles
I would say Kirk grew up in a very cool little town.

Nice blog
We travel across Pennsylvania when we drive to New Jersey. So many lovely places, but we often miss them other than to stop and eat somewhere (that the locals like) and move on because we are in too much of a hurry to get to Marice's for something one of the kids is doing or something. I have to tell you it is WONDERFUL you and Joe have been able to take this time to enjoy some of the outstanding places this world has been gifted to give. You will always remember such a trip and that is so valuable as we grow older. Sorry I will miss your blog. I will pick it up when we get back to the states. When we get email at sea it is terribly slow and costs by the minute so we do not tarry on anything that does not need our attention. Have loved every minute of it. Thanks, again. Love, Lois

Blog
Lois, we will be flying to Phoenix on Oct. 6 so will probably only blog a couple more times. You won't miss anything. I think we're going to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland tomorrow. We were going to Cuyahoga Valley National Park tomorrow, but of course, it is closed. Have a wonderful trip. Jealous of you being able to go to Europe...some day...

Just get better and better..
Talking about the color. This will be the last one I read unless it comes early tomorrow. We leave here about 10:00 a.m. to fly to Rome, etc. Surely have enjoyed your blog. Thanks for including me. Love, Lois

Cooperstown
All I know about "One Love" is that it is a Bob Marley song. Maybe he lives there. Dave has Cooperstown museum on his Bucket List.....great pics....maybe we will make it there someday. Are you getting back home soon?

connection
Hi Joe and Judy! Was excited to see the Park Street Church. Many of our ministers at the Colonial Church of Edina, MN,our former church, have served at Park Street Church. So much important history in Boston - I love the buildings! Thank you for chronicling your journey for us.

Exhalted beauty
When we drove through Vermont and New Hampshire over each hill Bob would exclaim what beauty! Gorgeous! Magnificent! Outstanding! and finally he said, "There is just no adjective to describe what we are seeing." I agreed. You have a lot of yellow here. IN the western part of the state we got more red maple, but what gorgeous pictures Bob got there. We were stopping so much to take in the beauty we almost did not get where we planned to be for the evening. We stayed with Ed and Ellamae Miner (used to be the County Attorney in Ellis Co., Hays) in New Hampshire and they took us several places we would never have known about while we were there...apple orchard where we got cider, etc., etc. Whets my appetite to go back this time of year. Maybe next fall. We are leaving Saturday for Rome, Sorrento, Capri...headed on a cruise that will take us to Sicily, Malta, Israel (3 days), Athens, GR (where Steve and Sherry will meet us) on to Kos, Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini, and Ephesus and Marmaros, Turkey. We have been to all but Malta, Israel, Kos and Marmaros before. but they are all worth returning to. Steve and Sherry had wanted to do the Greek Isles so we lined up back to back cruises and the second is with them. When do you finish this trip? I will not be getting much email on purpose once we are ship board. Takes too much time just getting it and we pay by the minute there. Have surely enjoyed every word, Judy. Thanks so much for including me. Love...

Congrats on 50 to both of you. Seems October 2 is awfully early for such magnificent colors, even in Vermont. Great pictures. Keep posting them.

Yes, I think it's a bit early this year. We weren't counting on seeing them when we planned the trip, but were hoping.

Fall Beauty
I still think that the West Fork of Oak Creek Trail near Sedona is the most beautiful place to see fall foliage. It is beautiful here in New England, though. Really shouldn't compare the two, they are so different.

Congratulations on the 50th state. New England is living up to its reputation for Fall beauty and thanks for letting us enjoy it, too.

Just found you when perusing the Newest blogs...
Congratulations on having visited all 50 States. I also enjoyed reading your earlier blogs...and the memories they brought back, having visited the Canadian Maritimes and New England, but with three young children. My wife and I visited Sydney and New Zealand last fall for our 40th anniversary; with our son who is now 24...much better!
