Snow wonder you look so happy! Hey lovely lady, that looks like some serious FUN! We have the freeze here as I'm sure you know, but no snow. Yet....
Wishing you a year of wonder, fun and joy. And things that sparkle...snowflakes in sunlight, glitter, fairy dust...
Hope you're going to join the ECHO gang for a Richmond Park yomp on Feb 1st, meeting up round at mine. Hugs S xxx

Spituk I didn't realise that you were staying at the SPITUK monastery, I've definitely visited it, just can't remember which it was. How far is it from Leh, might remember if I had directions? So glad that you have enjoyed your journey to Ladakh so much, it certainly is a very special place isn't it. Take care. LoL Wendy.
PS Is it just a Common Darter, one would think it to be something more exotic.
Migration Kia ora Irena, I am a step further in my migration. After a bit more than two month in Australia now in home country Germany to pack up my gear to go back to New Zealand (permanently ?!). It is great to be able to share some of your colourful experiences and I wished I could contribute more than my admiration for other cultures. I guess I will in a while... Have a lovely time and travel safely, big hug Katharina
P.S: Treasuring your stone from the Esperanza beach.
coming home Glad to know you're starting on your way home and I'm sure you've enriched the lives of those little boys as they have yours. We start rehearsals for the Barnes charity players panto this evening so maybe you'll be back for that. I just got back from a week on the Amalfi coast of Italy, which was heavenly. My lodger Helen leaves in early Nov if you are looking for a place to stay and you know you'd be welcome. Love and huggggggss, Robinxx

You look so happy. All those little lives are going to be brightened by your presence! And you still have your hair. Busy doing various new things at work, as well you know, but hopefully leaving myself enough space to remain sane. India is great, you love it or hate no inbetweens Hi Irena
Wow, now I have discovered how to read your blog, welcome to the 21st century Amanda, you are having an incredible time. India, is like I said you either love it or hate it, but you need to get over that 2 week barrier. I loved it, and I didn't get any runny tummy or bottomssss. Saw amazing things and amazing food, proper india. Although be warned when they shake theire heads slowly and then it increases, they are lying to you.
Otherwise, throw the Lonely planet out of the window and go and live India away from delhi, get out there and experience, but enjoy and be safe. Keep safe
luv

Zen and the art of It's a little known fact that the braking system on many vehicles is India is consinered too coplex and difficult to repair and is therefore simply removed. The brake pedel (or lever) is converted to operate the horn which is a far less coplex device consisting of a flexible metal diaphram a coil of wire that forms an electromagnet that in turn move a central armature, altogether much easier to maintain......With love and thoughts.......... After 6+ years of adding Slavic spice to the environmental education programmes at the WWT London Wetland Centre, there was a danger of succumbing to the well known life-distracter sometimes known as 'natural career progression in management'.
Wanting to reawaken and start a new, different cycle I am flying (carbon footprint covered) southwest - via Argentina and Australasia, on route to Himalayan region.
The 'sensible' part comes disguised as research for Masters in Science Education and exchange of experiences with colleagues in the field.
The rest is as open as infinity...and beyond. ... full info
