You must tell me how you decided on your spiritual director? Good thing the group has "jelled" that will make faith sharing sessions easier. Best go with The Eagles - the underdogs will play with passion. Get the groups opinion re whether players should "take the knee during the anthem". I would be interested in responses. We are off to NZ South Island tomorrow for a month. Not vastly different from your current situation. Lots of food and drink and as usual will give Glen lots of direction about how to live.
