OMG AHH Schneider.. i have to defintely agree with the twins.. we all miss you like crazy! German class is nothing without you! and how exciting that you're going to visit! we all can't wait to see you! we miss you!
More similar experiences Hans, I enjoy your blogs. My students at Nanjing Normal Univ. have similar living situations; my classrooms aren't heated either. But the students are great. Great attitudes. If you come to Nanjing, let me know and I'll introduce you to some more people here. Enjoy your trip home. I'm going south for the holiday, probably to Yunnan.
OMG!!! OMG!!! Are you really coming!!!??!!! You cant back out now....***SO EXCITED*** I can't wait to see you!!! Make SURE you come see us during 6th period (german for 6th again, i know) lol. Cant wait to see you!!!!!!

That was pretty cool... Hey Schneider!
They're right, those pictures *are* amazing. It's so cool to see history come alive before your eyes isnt it? Keep on documenting your journey..its quite a fascinating one.
great photos! great photos schneider! it's wonderful that they let you take pictures where they usually don't. you go to all these places and monuments (such as this one) that i've only seen on television and hope to see someday. Thanks for keeping in touch with all of us. We miss you IMMENSELY and hope to somehow see you soon. Ms. Van Wyk and I (she's back at Gables this year) were talking about how much your presence and energy is missed at the school. Love you :)
finally a change!! schneider, what an exciting time it is here for us in the US right now. i participated in my first election on tuesday, and now i have watched democrats FINALLY take over the house and senate. it is so incredibly exciting! i have to be honest, as soon as i heard that we had taken over the senate as WELL as the house, i thought of you. i think you would be proud to know that americans are finally waking up to the changes needed. and yesterday rumsfeld RESIGNED!!!! my first election... and look how well it went. well i just wanted to share with somebody who would appreciate. i love you so much!
Hallo Herr Schneider. Wie geht es Ihnen? I am glad yuo are doing really well. The college looks really nice and the classrooms as well. But howcome there are only two boys in your classroom? Well until next blog. Take care. -Karla Rivera
!!!! SCHNEIDER! Geesh...you can't leave us hanging for a few months...this is our only contact with you! Its nice to know you're still there. We've been pondering why you haven't posted a blog in a looooong while. FYI you are so incredibly missed!!!!! Even if i wrote it here, you wouldnt believe the crazziness thats happening over here! Us poor ab initio kids...Well anyways its nice to know you are having fun. I cant say im not jealous of your students in those pics. It wasn't so long ago that we were the students in those pics. *sigh*.
And wow, I feel kind of bad for your students. I mean what is school without the drama of relationships??? Romantic interests and intrigue make the world (or at least school) more interesting. Tell them your american students say hi!
xoxo

I'm also in Jiansu province Hans, I certainly enjoy your blogs. I was jealous of the Tibet trip and the panda visit. I'm in Nanjing, at Nanjing Normal Univ. and also am teaching future teachers and future business men and women. I have the same male/female ratios. I'm teaching oral English to third year university students. My blog is www.travelblog.org/bloggers/goodsue. I also have the traffic noise and close all the windows and turn on the air conditioner. I have ear plugs, but then I wouldn't hear the alarm at 5:00 a.m. I also tell myself the noise is the ocean and fishing boats out at sea. Good luck with your fantasies about car horns, too. Soon the Chinese will say, no horns in the cities. I can't wait. Susan
Earplugs Hans, Enjoy your blogs and photos very much. You are inspiring. By the way, try a good pair of earplugs at night. I have a good pair by my bedside and in my book bag. You never know when you need 'em! They work great for me! Cheers!
there you are! there you are you elusive chinese-american-german! it is strange to see you with other students, im sure we all wish that we were the ones in the chairs. HOWEVER, you can just tell that they treat you with the respect that you deserve (it was about time huh). :) we miss you soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much it is crazy. we are always singing "Ich hab' mein Herz in Heidelerg verloren" HAHAHA. and yes, we sing it just like you did. I LOVE YOU
yooo hey schneider, im so glad to see your last login was today... everybody had gotten worried cause you hadnt posted a blog in a while. tell us how you're doing!
There are way too many photos of me! Haha. Thank you so much though. It was great meeting you, and Guilin was of course amazing. I think I'm still digesting the whole experience!
HALLO! hey schneider! i havent left you a comment in foreverrrrrr... and while i find myself drowning in hw for a certain english teacher, i could not wait any longer to send you a hello. as always, we are all thinking about you... i think you would be flattered to know how much we mention you and our memories of you in our daily lives. im still going to save a spot for you in my yearbook in case you decide to drop by before we go off to college. i cant even believe it is almost time... and you helped us get to his moment. keep posting... i learn so much about the world by just viewing your pictures. love always :)
hey!! OMG its sooo beautiful there! the pictures you take and your discriptions make it seem like i was there with you; if only : (
anyways, i starting to organize that fundraising event we spoke about before you left. If you could email me at vcarrasco_20@yahoo.com so we can discuss the specifics i would greatly appreciate it. Take care!! Miss you!!!
After 38 years as a Foreign Language Teacher and Foreign Language Dept. Chair at Coral Gables Sr. H.S., and A.J. Professor of German at the University of Miami, I have left Florida in June of 2006, where my home is in Miami Beach, Florida, USA. I have just signed another year's teaching-contract (my 8th year now) with Taizhou University in the city of Taizhou, located about 3hrs north of Shanghai, in Jiangsu Province, CHINA.
I thought it would be informative for others and rewarding for me personally, to log the progress of my efforts from beginning to end, as a Travel and Photo Jo... full info
