So, Amber and I have been here for about 4-5 jours at this point, and I can honestly say I've enjoyed every minute of it! Jeudi morning, we went on a tour of the campus where we will be diligently studying these next few months. It was definitely a bit bigger than I expected. I mean, it's not a huge campus at all...just about the size of CC's campus maybe. But I don't know...it just doesn't look that big walking up to it. Anyway, it seems as though all of the buildings there have some historical note attached to them, which is really cool. Yet there are also quite a few modern ones as well. Hello all! So today is my first full day in Angers, and I must say...I don't think I ever want to leave. So yeah, the first few days are always the most exciting. I know. But I think a study abroad experience, or any experience for that matter, is what you make of it. For example, this morning was FREEZING. And bien sur it just had to rain when I had to walk to the university. But you know, I loved every minute of it. Well...maybe once my body became numb to the cold at least! Well, I am setting this blog up as my English version of my travel blog (the English/French/Spanish blog = mariearcher.blogspot.com just in case you want to check it out). Amber and I will be heading out of the USA on the 2nd of February, just under two weeks away! It's getting so close!! The closer it gets to our departure date, the more excited and nervous I get...both at the same time. I am in no form nervous as in not wanting to go. More so in the sense of: what will I inevitably forget to pack? Will I have time to see everyone in mind before I leave? Etc.
