a couple of minor errors (I think) Hi Hilary. Enjoyed your blog as usual. But Sarkozy is with a z not an s. And is the Swiss town not Genolier without the r? I went there last year to attend the wedding of a good friend's daughter who married the son of a couple who live there (the father of the groom is Canadian and the mother Italian or Italian Swiss). Hope life is good in California. Hugs, Peter
Hey Hilary - fun to keep up with your travels. I thought of you numbers of times during my recent Provence/Paris trip. Finally caught up with things, read your delightful book, and finally put a review up on Smashwords. When you are in town we should meet for coffee and stories. Cheers - Stephen
hello from Chicago Hilary,
you took almost the same trip as Jean and I did and you described an interesting ceremony. No wonder many French people so tightly wedded to the country. A history-packed part of France also.
How was the o-h conference? Wish I could have been there but I had too many things in the fire to leave. Anything special happen at the conference? Do you have a project that you\'re working on?
I\'m leaving this week for Israel to attend my grandson\'s wedding in Jerusalem. Your grandchildren are adorable.
Keep in touch.
Betty
Your news Hilary,
Good to hear your news. I know the town of Yvoire. How lucky Tom's family is to live there! Keep us posted on what you're up to in the States. All the best,
Harriet
hello from Chicago Hilary,
So glad to her from you and happy to learn that you are enjoying yourself. What are your plans for the rest of the year? Going to explore some lovely exotic place?? Keep in touch.
Best,
Betty
4 July travel blog Hillary, thank you for sharing your adventures with Reine and I. The pictures are just great. I share with you the refreshing experience of sleeping beneath the stars because I did that a lot when I was a boy on the western Kansas plains. Can't do that in Marseille because of the city lights. Continue to enjoy the beauties of "natural" USA.
A basket of fun It hightens my pleasure to learn of the places you travel thru your comments and photos.
Thanks and keep them coming, I am looking forward to your next adventure.
Ciao, Tom
Warrior Woman YOU! Another fantastic trip under your belt. What's next on your bucket list?! Your entries are more and more finished - love the pictures throughout. NOW, definitely time for a rendezvous! Hugs to you, Penny
What a world traveler you are!!! Hilary,
What great places you go to and we ride along with you. San Francisco must seem dull after all the Peruvian color and charm.
What are your plans for the near future? Will you stay put in SF for a while or are you off in another direction?
Thanks for keeping all of us in the loop?
Best,
Betty

Greetings from Paris Seeing these photos brings back memories of my trip to M.P., Sacred Valley, Cuzco... in 2001. Glad you had both sunset and sunrise visits to M.P. as we discussed when you were planning your trip. I'm about to leave Paris, after a gorgeous sunny month, IDF walks every Wednesday, Dufy exhibit with Marylynne, other wonderful activities. Thanks for lovely blog entry. e.
Great review of your trip and photos! Glad you're having a good trip. Your remarks and photos remind me of my Peru trip about 15 years ago. I may have stayed in that same hotel in the Sacred Valley. I remember chewing cocoa leaves in order to have the energy to climb up to the ruins near there.
Your guinea pig looks better nourished than the one they served me!
OAT as well I'm glad you're travelling with OAT - I much enjoyed our trip with them to Tunisia. The visits to "native" homes and schools were very stimulating and interesting. Hope you enjoy Peru - we were there back in 1979.
To the adventurous lady! Hilary, I love reading about your adventures and looking at your pictures. We look forward to seeing you soon in California. Hugs.
Great! You did so well to get there. I'm not sure about the tea factory, but wull root out my photos tonight. The Manager's house is definitely wrong. It is a bungalow up on a hill above the factory. again, I'll send you photos.
But I'm so pleased you went!
hindu ceremonies the hindu temples i have been to all take coconuts as offerings and then they disappear and when you are
in the inner santums the priests offer you something to drink i was afraid to drink it but felt i must so i let
it drizzle down my neck i later confessed to a hindu friend and she said she never drank it because it was
probably dirty but she let it run into her hands and then wiped her hands in her hair
i felt better after learning this
they also give out ladak or sugar crystals blessed by the dieties at pilgrimage sites

Amazing Adventure! You amaze me -- you really are intrepid, the best kind of open, curious, adventurous traveller and never a "tourist" -- thank you so much for sharing what you see. Quite beautiful!
