Great Reporting from a Magnificient Writer! Hilary, thanks for your quality reporting from an event I wanted to attend but couldn't. Interesting that people weigh more than cars on the bridge, even if the cars are bumper to bumper.

Dramatic photos. Thanks for posting Glad you enjoyed Maui. You were smart to take a jacket to Haleakala. I live on Maui, and so many shivering visitors think it will still be warm at 10,000 feet. You really covered a lot of ground.
Holidays in California California is a great place for dwelling. It is the place like a paradise. No one can imagine about the living standard.Beautiful beaches, unique attraction, incredible views and more enjoyable things in the California state. The sight of the beaches, dancing of the whales at California beaches is very eye catching sights. All in all California is about entire enjoyable.

Beautiful photos! As always... love hearing about and seeing your adventures... was surprised to see you in a jacket on the mountain when everything else looked hot and sunny....didn't expect such a big difference in temperatures, but you were prepared! Looks like the whole Hawaii stay was just perfect! Happy Spring! Happy Easter!
maui wowee Hey Hilary!
I just got back last night from Maui myself - including a stay in Hana and 5b nights in the Napili area. Moore notes to trade. Your outing sounds great!!

Enjoying your travels! Very much enjoying your travels with Tom in Hawaii! The photos and commentary make it very interesting—you do a great job.. I have an idea for you to maybe market your travel blogs...a long shot but nevertheless let's talk when you get back to CA.
Any plans to come to Boston?
Looks idyllic I have long wanted to go to Hawaii but it is rather difficult to get to from here so I guess it will just have to wait for my retirement. Sure that you are enjoying yourself. Hugs, Peter
Thanks for comments. Thanks to Peter and everyone else who's left comments. I love sharing my adventures with all of you. More to follow soon about the Big Island.

Bon voyage! Hilary and Tom, enjoy your Hawaii vacation! When Romas and I were there we enjoyed our daily hikes very much, as well as other sights such as authentic open air markets. Hugs from Oregon (visiting my daughter).
your recent travels Hi Hilary,
Fabulous trip! After seeing The Descendants, I'm dying to see Hawaii and the house Clooney was filmed in-it sounds like things are going very well for you. Let me know when you're back in Paris-which must seem quite dull and polluted to you after all your world travels! Cheers,Harriet
Radiant Greetings Hilary,
Your grin is wider than the Champs Elysee and just as lovely. I am thrilled you are taking in the sights of the world with someone whose company you so obviously enjoy. Keep on truckin". Love to follow your trails.
Fondly, Elyse
Summer in February It is difficult to compare Paris in the winter to February in the Bay Area but they are about as wonderful places to spend time as possible. Warren Hellman was a delightful philantrophist and benefactor of many projects in the Bay Area but the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass concert was personally very close to his heart. He was a banjo player who played in a mildly well known group "The Wronglers" and over the 12 years of the concert it grew from a smallish event to a giant production every fall in Golden Gate Park. The concert now fills five venues in the Park for three days of Bluegrass and other fun music. Hellman has endowed it for another 10 or 15 years so it will continue.
Neveretheless, don't leave Paris off your list of great places just because California has better weather and good bluegrass music.
General Hi Hilary: I read everything you send out over cyberspace and enjoy it all. Thank you sharing your experiences. We'll be back in Paris in April and will join up again with one of the other women who was in our little writing group. Keep the blogs coming -- they are wonderful and inspiring.
Hi Hilary - have a good trip back and better weather in California. I plan to come to Berkeley in April...seems like we are always ships crossing in the night, but you never know...do you have a phone there?
