Saturday March 14, 2015 Today we are so excited to head off on a Mexican Rivera cruise on Princess Cruises. Todd was up at 3:00 am and everyone else was up at 4:00am. Seriously early for the Breton’s. We were out the door by 4:30 am and headed over to pick up Cindy’s dad at 5:00am. A quick pick up there and off to the airport for our 7:10am flight. Our check in went smooth and we went through security with no problems. Since Cindy’s dad and I have priority access with American we were able to go through the priority line. Thank goodness because the queue is wrapped around 4 times. We boarded our American Eagle flight on time for a 7:10am flight. After sitting on the plane for 40 minutes, the pilot came on ... read more

Friday, February 20, 2015 Today is our last day of our wonderful Trafaglar Tour, last night in Cuzco. So sad. Unfortunately all good things to come to an end. Todd woke up at 5:00 am to work on checking school stuff and responding to email, he also type of some of the blog. Cindy and I ate breakfast at 8:00ish this morning, we needed to get back to our room to make sure our luggage is in the hall by 8:40 am. Not sure I mention this before but since we have to give up regular luggage at the Sonesta hotel on Tuesday, when arrive this hotel, Novotel Cuzco, our luggage was waiting for us at this hotel, in our assignment room on Wednesday evening. I have to admit, I was a little nervous, however Trafaglar ... read more

Thursday, February 19, 2015 Today we needed to wake up earlier to eat breakfast and meet our tour guide at 8:30 am for a walking and bus tour of Cuzco this morning. Breakfast was good this morning. The buffet had pancakes (super small with jam), mini quiches, eggs, and various breads. At 8:30 am we meet our tour guide in the hotel lobby to visit several sites. We left the hotel at 8:35 am and walked about 5 blocks to our first stop, Santo Domingo Convent. Before entering the convent, our tour guide pointed out the original Inca wall construction. This construction showed that the outer part of the wall is built going inward. This is built to protect the walls from earth movement. The tour guide spent a great deal of time explaining the construction ... read more

Wednesday, February 18, 2015 Todd woke up at 5:00 am and went to the lobby of our hotel in Machu Picchu, El Mapi. Today we have a little free time in the morning. Cindy and I ate breakfast in the hotel restaurant around 8:00 am. The breakfast was pretty good at this hotel, however the selection of items was much less than other hotels, but still good. One thing that was awesome about the breakfast was the large glass window with an awesome view of part of the Andes. Probably one of the top best breakfast views, next to the Marriott Hotel in Budapest overlooking at the Castle District. Following breakfast we went to the hotel lobby and worked on the computers. Cindy Skyped and Todd worked on his blog. We needed to have our overnight ... read more

Tuesday, February 17, 2015 We were up and at them starting at 6:30 am. There was a light rain and cool temperatures this morning. It was warm clothing day. Our luggage needed to be outside our room by 7:00 am. The luggage situation was a little tricky today. We were not allowed to bring our large luggage with us for the next few days; rather this luggage was being shipped to our Cuzco hotel for our arrival in two days. The only items were allowed to bring with us for the next few days was small carryon items. This was tricky initially trying to figure this out, however we did. We ended up bringing our two back packs and three Trafaglar bags we received when we started our tour. Basically we packed an overnight bag(s). We ... read more

Our luggage needed to be outside our room by 530am. The bellman were picking up our luggage and delivering them to the lobby and keeping in one place until our departure. We ate breakfast, hot breakfast, one more time before departing our nice hotel, Novotel. Breakfast was at 530am sharp. As in the past couple of days, the breakfast was super good. Our tour group needed to meet in the lobby at 610am, departure to the airport is at 615am. We departed the hotel at 615am sharp and off to the airport. We left early enough ... read more

Sunday, February 15, 2015 We ate breakfast around 8:30 am this morning, our actual tour did not start until 11:45 am. Breakfast was great like Saturday, there type of food was about the same, however they did not have our favorite chocolate filled pastry. Following breakfast we returned to the room. Cindy Skyped and Todd ventured out of the hotel to get water for the day. We meet our entire tour group in the hotel lobby, Novotel Lima. By 11:50 am we were boarded on the bus ready to start our tour. Each us were given name tags which I thought was a nice touch. Particularly since none of us knew each other. Our tour guide, Angel, explain several things about the Lima area. There are 53 mayors in the Lima region and one head mayor. ... read more

Friday, February 13, 2015 Cindy and I are super excited to leave for our trip today. Today we are very fortunate to head to South America, specifically Peru. From all the research we have read, this was an obvious bucket list trip to include one of the Seven Wonders of the World, Machu Pichu. Around 12:30 pm, we headed to the airport for our flight at 2:58 pm on American Airlines. Check in was smooth and our flight boarded and was slightly delayed, however nothing concerning. When we booked our flights, secretly Todd called American Airlines back and used some of miles to upgrade our trip to business class. The upgrade was to travel the long distance comfortably but also a birthday gift to Cindy. Cindy did not know we were traveling business class until February ... read more

Friday, June 6, 2014 Today is our last day of the cruise. It sure has gone by super-fast, but been a fantastic time. As Royal Caribbean said in the Day 7 Cruise Compass, enjoy every last bit of your final day at sea. Everyone slept in this morning, except for me; I was up at 5:00 am. Kinda scary when I don’t need an alarm clock to wake up. I headed to the Champagne bar to work on grading papers and participating in the class I am teaching. Cindy meet me for breakfast at 7:30 am and we headed to the dining room for breakfast. As I have mentioned before, love being served for breakfast. Our table mates this morning were people we have say with before. Following breakfast, Cindy and I went to the photo ... read more

Thursday, June 5, 2014 What the heck, it is Thursday and we have to leave the ship in two days. Today we arrived at the island of Curacao. I have heard some much about this island and how beautiful it is. Looking out the window, all I can say is Wow. The buildings are beautiful. Nothing like this in the Caribbean. We started our day off with breakfast at 7:30 am in the dining room. We meet some nice couples from NH and Kansas City. Breakfast is good this morning, as always. This morning our tour starts at 8:15 am. We need to be port side then. Today our tour is named Caves and City Center. This sounds very exciting. Michael, Brian Guo, Jenny and Marcus are doing the mini jeep adventure and beach. Our tour ... read more
