Thu 14 June. Time to hit the road again. Debbie is still not well. We set off from Kalbarri around 8:30. The weather was ok but still overcast. Today we are heading for Denham, some 375 k's away. On the way we plan to visit Hawks Head and Ross Graham lookout. According to Sandy the gorge looked gorgeous, a play on words or just accidental....we'll never know. Either way the scenery was spectacular even though we were once again dodging the rain! Back on the road with the next stop is Billabong and time for lunch, at least for Sandy and I. Steve and Debbie decided to have a cup of tea and a biscuit in the caravan then head off whilst we are waiting for lunch to arrive (you'll never guess what we had for ... read more

Jun 13th The weather is finally getting back to normal. We have been in contact with Jayde who has let us know that the house survived the storm last night. So now it's time to get back to normal and enjoy the adventure. Debbie is getting over her cold but is still far from well and the pelicans once again were a no show for breakfast feeding. Today was Steve doing the driving in the Land Cruiser. We have headed off south along the coast after finding out that the road to natures window and z bend was still closed (very frustrating). Today our first stop was the Rainbow Jungle bird sanctuary. Some beautiful colours on the parrots and galahs. And quite a spectacular walk through aviary. From there it was onto Lynton Station and the convict ... read more

June 12th A good night's sleep once again then it's off to see the pelicans (or was that penguins?) being fed at 8:45. We've had breakfast and trundled over the road to the park overlooking the the river where the pelicans turn up to be fed every day....every day except for today. Expectant visitors turned up along with the volunteer feeder but no pelicans. Oh well maybe another day? Debbie's cold appears to be getting worse, so unfortunately for her it was back to bed and try to get some rest. Steve decided to potter around the van and do some work on the computer. Sandy and I headed of to do some exploring and sightseeing. We decided to do the Kalbarri Coastal cliffs. Wow, what a spectacular coastline. The large swells of the ocean helped ... read more

Mon 11th june Well we survived the night in Cervantes thanks to the holiday home and finished up with a good nights sleep. Steve and Debbie finished up leaving before 8:00am just as Sandy and I were getting out of bed. Breakfast and packing up got us back on the road by 9:30. The weather was a bit calmer but still quite windy. A quick stop in Port Dennison for coffee and a custard pie for me and Sandy had the coffee and a party pie. On the way down to Port Dennison we stuck the only downpour for the day...it lasted all of 30 seconds, but dumped a stack of rain. On the road again we made our way to Geralton for lunch and a refueling stop. We caught up with Debbie and Steve on ... read more

Saturday 9th June, the day has finally come around and we are ready to go....well almost. Last minute shopping for food and some running repairs on the electrics on the van for the newlyweds Debbie and Steve. At around 1:30pm we finally hit the road after a ham and salad roll for lunch. First stop is a refueling stop for Steve at the cheapest diesel garage in Perth today, Neerabup? Fortunately this is on our way North on Wanneroo Rd. Next stop will be Cervantes so that we can see the pinnacles. A strange series of rock formations sticking upright out of the ground. Because you can not tow a caravan or trailer around the pinnacles park we book in to the Cervantes caravan park and pitch our tent ready for the night whilst Debbie and ... read more
