Pahiyas It's a Filipino word for "decor". And in Lucban Quezon, this is a very important event that people are looking forward to. Lucky me I had the chance to witness this event last May 15, 2009. I've always heard stories about the Pahiyas festival and how grand the celebration is but only until 2009 did I experienced this event. Tropang PG traveled to Lucena on the dawn of May 15. It was just a 3-hour drive fromPasay. Upon reaching the Lucena Grand Terminal, we boarded a jeep going to Lucban. Puerto Princesa, Palawan 11.26.2009. Time to fly again! Medyo months in the making ang trip na ito since we availed of the cebupac promo around march 2009. The fare was so cheap – PhP 1,500++ (you have to check cebupac promos! cheapest fare rates talaga!) We reserved our accommodation and travel tours in De Loro Inn – 5-minute drive from the airport. I highly recommend this to all of you who would be visiting Puerto Princesa for two reasons: (1) cheap rate for accommodation and travel fees, for only PhP 4,600 (group of seven) we already have 5D 4N accommodation, free breakfast and lunch, Honda bay, Underground river and city tour inclusive! and (2) the owner and staff are soooo friendly.
