Hello out there! Hi Ellie and Mary:
What an adventure! I love seeing your pictures and hearing about your travels. Have fun in sunny California!
Love, Jan
great to hear from you guys. Boy, all the way to California. How cool is that. You are definately having better weather than us. Just more of the same here, but this storm had some good winds. Our house is all painted and beautiful. So crisp and bright with the same basic color. It was way over ude. The Lippincotts are having their house painted too. Whose turn is it next. Take care and ddrive carefully.

Got your card from Seligman. When I was a little girl I remember using outhouses similar to the one shown on the card - some people in Fairland were rather far behind the times. Seligman looks like a fun, funky place. The eat here, get gas slogan is (or was) on a billboard on U.S. 31 north of Indianapolis. Guess you are on your way to Fresno today?? Do you met Paulo and Vanessa today or tomorrow?? Have fun.
Hi Felice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The U.S is so cool out here! right now I'm with my aunt, uncle, and two cousins in the super hot(high 90s) California. The burritos have been fantastic!
see you in August!

:) Ahh! I missed a couple days there - but it looks like other than a wounded toe, you both are doing well! I find it very cool that you went by United World College, one of my best friends went there and loved it - so Ive heard countless stories of the place but no pics of the outside! Im soooooooo jealous of the natural swimming pools, Id probably never get out if I were to get in though - even if I became all wrinkled and prune-y!!
Received your card from Flagstaff today. Am really looking forward to seeing all of you in a couple of weeks. In the meantime, I will look forward to your continuing blogs about your adventures. I envy your seeing the Redwoods and Yellowstone. Ellie, wait till you see the Rockies - they are very, very high and very rugged (hence, the name Rockies). Hope you have had fun with the family in Escondido.
Travel is Good for the Soul Hi Ellie and Mary~
Wow, what fortunate women you are to be travelling together in the great western US. Your photos and blog reveal sated wonderlust and curiosity about our culture - such a very mary and ellie blend of pop culture, potty humor and love the absurd and vegetarian opportunities~ Love, Felice
Hey Ken!
Mom hurt her toe by falling while walking down a few slippery stairs into a natural pool. I told her to hold onto the railing, but she didn't so she slipped. She isn't in any more pain which is good!
From,
Ellie
Hi Anne!
Aren't those gate so cool?! Escondido is very beautiful, I haven't been here for years. I can't remember the last time I came here! I am having fun here!
Love,
Ellie
Hi Aunt Cath!
Cool, they're going to Paris! That's so cool! If they make a travel blog, can we have the website, please? Yes, it's been amazing across the country.
Love,
Ellie
Your travelblog to be copied! Nancy, Jane and Molly and Nancy's friend Mark are leaving for a week in Paris- tomorrow.
Nancy is hoping to get a travel blog just like yours set up so we can all join in their travels too- aren't you two a pair of trend setters!
Wow- guess you have gone at least three thousand miles and seen so much- a great education for both of you.
Love to you and Mark and family.
Aunt Cath
Up here, 108 is a radio station Hi Ellie and Mary:
If I ever experienced 108 degrees, it was a long time ago in Iguacu Falls in Brazil, but I don't remember what it felt like. Congratulations on arriving in California. According to Google Maps, you've driven 3076 miles so far. That is awesome. I wish I had been there with you guys for everyone of those miles. The pictures are great -- I would like to go to Seligman some day.
Love,
Paulo
poor toe & cute pigtails! I am sorry to hear about the green chili omelet and the hurt toe. Ellie, in today's pictures you look like KT to me. Lovely! Was the public outhouse clean? Hee heeeeeee hee. Love, Amy
Your Graceland card arrived today. You must have mailed it over the weekend, so it arrived here pretty quickly. Thank you. Those entrance gates look pretty cool.
I was so-o-o-o-o glad to hear from you today. I missed not being able to read about your day yesterday. I agree that Gallup is not much. Your Gramps and I stayed there one night in a Holiday Inn which also wasn't much. But we had been at Canyon de Chelly and that was the closest place to rest for the night. Wow, tonight you will be in California - the most financially - challenged state in the United States at this time. Then tomorrow on to Escondido. I forget what the word Escondido means. There is some special significance. See if you can find out that tidbit of trivia. Have fun!
Well I did walk some today I just love getting these blogs and phone calls. I wonder if Whole foods has good burritos. I went to my friend Ginny's church (she was at work) which meant walking up some steepstairs. I didn't much like the service as their beliefs are orthodox Christian but at least I got there. Anne will be coming over and should be able to get over to see the apartment. there are the outside steps. Iloveyou and hope you are having a happy day!
Traveling cross country. Among other things, this will be a burrito exploration trip. That is, mother and daughter will try burritos from different parts of the country, rate them, and pick the best burrito place in the USA. Daddy and Nessa will engage in burrito exploration when they're with us. We hope to have lots of fun.... full info
