hey hey D! what a frighteningly awesome place, it has been a few months since turkey however you are still charging. The privileges that you have and continue to experience must make it hard to find the right words to sum up each place.
I hope to be able to say something similar about my life experiences one day also.
Take care.

Venice They just get better and better. Your photos brought back wonderful memories of the few days we spent in Venice way back in 1994. I fell in love with it then, and all over again looking at your photos. Keep those blogs coming! Take care and much love, Susan
Wow Dee, you are really 'doing it all' and as the boys from Leeds would
say 'aving a great time'! Good for you, it as all so exciting. I only had time for the first village, but I am definatly going back to walk the walk.
Will be down in the New Forest for Warmsley and Ali's wedding on 16th Sept. Any chance of meeting up?
Your photos are brilliant, and am so impressed at the narrative! I feel like I'm there!

Super anecdotes and photos, Dee. Not sure whether it's your mention of the hot Russian summer or the photo of all the Italian wines on the wall, but you've brought some warmth to our frosty NZ nights.
Italy So wonderful! Words fail me. I can't believe all the amazing things you packed into each phase of the trip. I started off thinking "wow" these are the best, no, now these ones... but each blog brings another great set of photos, I've stopped comparing them. Keep them coming!
Frosts on Waiheke! Cold winter here, by our usual standards. Fire goes every night!!
cheers, Ju
Italy Magic, just magic! Looks divine; I am so envious. You'll be able to set up your own little travel advice bureau when you get home so we can all replicate your wonderful journey. Keep it coming. Cheers Susan
Italy Wonderful photos Dee - the views are really breathtaking. Great that you found this area so far off the beaten track. Been wondering how things are going in Russia. Must be keeping you busy?
We had our Tournament at weekend - 50 entries - and it went really well. I'll email you later.
Cheers
Betty

Great Stuff! Another amazing blog and super photos. What a fantastic trip you're having. I've heard such wonderful things about Turkey; your comments and photos have strengthened my resolve to get there some day. Philip visited Gallipoli when he did his 'overland' trip back in the 70's but that was in winter; he said it was bleak and bitterly cold. Pity those poor soldiers. Looking forward to hearing about Italy and life in St. Petersburg. Cheers, Susan
Magic reading Hi Dee. Stunning photos! I'm looking forward to the full CD collection when you return. And the Gallipoli trip - everyone who goes there says it is a powerful experience. Your words and pictures made me appreciate that feeling much better than anyone before. Looking forward to some weird Russian stuff...
After the Camp is Over! Hi Dee. Just back from Mid Year Camp to your blog on ANZAC Day - really great and I must report ANZAC Day on the North Shore was wet so the service was held in the local Hall - not at all like being on the Browns Bay beach as the sun comes up with the waves breaking on the beach that we usually have. Your are having such an awesome trip and I am THOROUGHLY enjoying your bolgs. The camp was great - most of the usual people there and a great bunch of kids. Looking forward to catching up with you when you get back. Ian AFS.
Once again fantastic! This is a fabulous blog as it shows the respect people still have for the people who fought and died for us all. Thank you. Love the group you have been with - they sound like heaps of fun.
Hi Dee What another wonderful BLOG. You really do it so well. What an experience at ANZAC Cove and what a truely waste of good lives.Good to know the Memorial will go on forever. You must have had lots of fun with the Group too.The world is certainly a small place when you are travelling as we have found out.Squash Club still in good spirits. Ladder nites are full up and a lot of new faces around. Tourney on weekend of 30th June-if enough entries!!.Keep smiling.Thoughts from us both.Don and Nancy.
You have shot up my "most admired" list! You bring each chapter alive Dee. What a fantastic trip!! Good luck with the job. I hope it's not too challenging and you can settle after all the travelling!!
WOW Hi, Thank you for sharing your wonderful and amazing pictures. I just returned from my first trip to Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Sharm, and I wish I had seen your pictures before. I would have included those places in my trip, your pictures are the next best to being there. Great place. Thanks again
Hi from Dee. I’ve taken a year’s leave from my job of more than 25 year’s teaching and am preparing to set off on my “Big OE”; better late than never! This is a practise, with instructions from son Dan who is an experienced traveller/blogger, to make sure I can work the “Travel Blog” OK before I leave New Zealand on 26th Feb 2006. The photo is me with Dan and Emma yesterday at "Groove in the Park" in Auckland Domain. I hope to visit internet cafes and update weekly but will have to work that one out when I’m on the road.
I’ll be travelling to Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Egypt... full info
