Loved the Tasmania photos!
Hi Craig, glad to see that you & Ross have been on your travels again. What fantastic photos, we had no idea how beautiful Tasmania is, we're kicking ourselves for not considering it as a holiday destination. Sadly a bit late in the day for us now (age & health catching up with us) I think my favourite part was Bruny Island, also loved Russell Falls, loved the giant ferns, looked like you had travelled back to the Jurassic age. Another thing was the abundance & variety of wildlife you saw, just amazing. Thank you such much for sharing this with us. We look forward to seeing more of your travels. Hope 2022 will be a good year for you both.

And then there was curfew
Coming from Sydney I am appalled and also puzzled how Victoria could have bucked the happy minimal infection record of Australia in this Covid 19 Pandemic. The infection rate figures from Victoria are staggeringly high compared to the other States which only seem to have infections from the odd Victorian who has slipped through State cordons. But it proves one thing...you only need one infected person exercising apathy, denial or simply does not care to cause a spike and potential infection explosion. I can't understand the mask or no mask debate...of course wearing them makes a difference. Last night Victoria entered nighttime curfews for six weeks being some of the most stringent restrictions in the World. May this bring the scourge under control. Keep safe and sensible...and may everyone play their part and rid us of this pandemic thing.

Hi Craig, We both enjoyed your blog. Interesting to see how you are faring on the other side of the planet. We can't compete with your wildlife but we did manage to see a fox on a roof. We too have our fair share of "stupids" who make a bad situation worse & a PM who can't decide whether to make mask wearing mandatory. Roll on a Covid-free world & that next tiger sighting. Hi Craig, I really enjoyed this post. I'm from Melbourne (living in Tassie) and have been feeling the pain of all my family and friends having to go through this six week stage 3 lockdown thing all over again. I know Dan and the Department of Health / Human Services could have done a better job, but they can't be held responsible for the entitled, selfish, stupid idiots who live among us :( And now it looks like NSW might be going down the same path. Thanks for the descriptions and photos of the wildlife, they are a welcome distraction. I love the photo of the fox on the roof! I haven't lived in Melbourne since 2007, but fox numbers seem to have risen quite a bit... Take care and good luck with the hunt for masks. Cheers, Ren

Thank you for allowing us to tag along on your India adventure. I'm pleased you enjoyed so much about my favourite country. It truly has everything, even though its people don't. The one place on your itinerary that I've never visited in my twelve journeys around this incredible land is Tadoba - and you managed to see some of the animals there which I've missed too. I've added it to the list for a future visit - and future visits there certainly will be!

great photos & enjoyed reading your blog
My husband and I lived in Botswana for 5 years and loved it there. It was a long time ago 1977-1982, but reading your blog brought back such wonderful memories. So glad you had a great experience - we also had a wonderful time when we went up to the north to "game view". We have many moments that we used to call "our National Geographic moments" - thanks for the great photos (you might want to label them for others that aren't familiar with the game and birds of Botswana) - nice to see that after all these years it sounds like it hasn't changed much in the north - very happy to hear!

Wandering baboons scared the hell out of me in Africa! Hey so if we do the 'bush salute' in Oz due to pesky flies, what do you do in Africa to fend off pesky baboons?
