Replies Finally got around to catching up with your travels. I have had a viral infection which laid me pretty low, back to health now. As usual sods law I was decorating Craig's bedroom at the time and everything had to take a back seat until now.
You seem to be having a whale of a time, I hope your liver can stand it.
Mum thinks the photographs are great and it makes us feel we are there with you.
Love Mum and Dad
PS your sofa is in the dump
Hello from Puerto Natales!! Hi Claire and Ross! So good to hear from you!! I'm sorry I missed you guys on the last day. Glad to hear how awesome BA is.. can't wait to get there. We've just arrived in Puerto Natales today, and spending 4 nights here. Will probably do the tour to the Torres Del Paine tomorrow, and some other stuff the next day, and probably just chill the day after. Haven't quite worked it out yet.
We're going to El Calafate from here, then to Ushuaia, and from there we're flying to BA (on 3rd Feb).
If you have any more tips, let us know. We'll definitely check out that restaurant!
fun pictures and blog story fab.
looks as though you are both still having fun and enjoying in spite of the inca's revenge type illness
like Ross's brimmed hat
Geckos feature massively in New Scientist this week. - watch out for their teeth and don't let them lickyou x ;-)
The only Alcatraz I can find is the prison island - can't find anything about a creature or anything called an Alcatraz. Maybe some sort of myth?
Rocks look ace for climbing - how high was that?
Rawr! Those monkeys are ace! I want one! And a hammock - they look really comfy.
Video works fine although it's not immediately obvious how to open it.
I'm going to watch Star Wars again and try to spot where the X wings went.

Re: Jealousy! i wouldnt be too jealous if i were u... we're staying in jungle huts in western belize just now and have found a tarantula in the main hut and so far 2 wolf spiders (one 3 inches long, one about 4) and a normal spider (that was only about an inch long) in our bedroom hut. cant wait until we move to the next hotel. am off to attempt to go to bed now with my can of bug zap in hand that im assured will kill 4 inch wolf spiders. oh to be back in scotland with only the 2 inch meager house spider! claire x
Re:Cmon Ross, Shows the burdz Sorry man been distracted with all the sunshine an takin it easy, i'll try harder for you.
spent last couple of days in Belize on a chilled out wee island and now in the jungle near the border with guatamala. only been here a few hours and had to rescue Claire from a massive spider in our bedroom an a turantula.
gonna go explore some caves tomorrow. pictures to follow.
Cmon Ross, Shows the burdz Ross, Im very disapointed. All those fit Ladies and no pictures? (only kiddin') When are you due to go further south? And as for the rain comments, it hasnt stopped here since you guys left so a wee down pour or two over there really aint to bad. That piccy of that wasp thing is pretty cool it looks like it needs a cuddle :o
Fantastic beaches! The beaches look amazing. Your wasp thingy looks a bit scary, how big is it? I thought your trip was going to be hard work, lots of climbing hills and lugging rucksacks! It doesn't look very hard at the moment relaxing on the beach and drinking Pina Coladas.
Loving your photos!
Tasty rocks! I thought you were going to say "these rocks are tasty; we tried eating them..." how big are the rocks? No sense of scale.
I'll be visiting there in a few years to do the climbing thing I think ... when I own a plane and can smuggle myself across the Atlantic. Yay!
Gorgeous pictures!
Travel, Bikes and the world Drunk in charge of a bike - or the other way round - a bike in charge of you - could possibly be an arrestable offence in Mexico but if the local "swally" is as good as you say it is then you wont be caring anyway.
Photos are fab - really envious - weather here not quite as good as where you are but there are consolations -
No mossies - and we are playing dodgems and races every 2 days with a car left for our use :-) - Sometimes we just sit in the drive and rev the engine - startles the locals and the horses.
Keep up the commentary and pics - really entertaining - but hope you are managing to do these quickly and don't spend too long on them.
Hope Ross finds a remedy for the mossie attacks - i understand there is a cure based on local female attention - oops bang goes that as a solution then :-)
Places look idyllic
