I'm in the transition of starting to work doing what I've always had a passion for - Travel! As of March 1, 2010, I completed a 24 hour on-line class through Brevard Community College and received my "Certificate of Completion". The travel bug bit me when I was seven years old and my parents took my sister and I to the Grand Bahama Hotel. That was back in 1974 and for a whopping $169 per person, that included r/t air from Buffalo New York, a week hotel stay and breakfast every morning! At the time, that place was gorgeous! Had the first saltwater, olympic sized, swimming pool I'd ever seen. Beautiful, maintained grounds, courteous, friendly people, the ocean seemed to go on forever - we didn't have an ocean in Buffalo. My father took our family on vacation every year after that to all different place. New York City, Bahamas, Florida, Acapulco, Holland America cruise to Bermuda, Arizona, St. Kitts, and Hawaii. Since that time back in 1974, I have done some pretty extensive traveling to Las Vegas, Alaska cruise on NCL, Seattle & Vancouver, Reno, Cancun, San Diego California, Utah, Georgia, Biloxi & Louisianna, numerous cruises throughout caribbean, Germany and Niagara Falls Canada and many roadtrips up and down the eastcoast to visit family back in Buffalo. While vacationing with my children, father, siter & her husband in Hawaii, I filled out a magazine contest coupon and actually won the trip to go back to Oahu for 5 days! Pretty cool I thought. I'm always the first one to jump on my computer, compare prices, what the best deals are regarding hotels and airfare, best dates to fly, etc. I did work at a travel agency for about 6 months and was in heaven!
I'm new to the blogging world but feel I have some fun and interesting stories to tell about the places I've been. I've gotten my first digital camera, finally, and have had a blast learning how to work it. To be a part of sharing my travel related information, pictures, and videos would be a great experience for me and may even help somebody else trying to plan a trip.
Look forward to hearing back from you soon.
