I am a teacher and social activist engaged in searching for alternatives. I have been walking in the Himalayas for at least two months every year over a period of seventeen years. I have led several walks accompanied by students, teachers, peace and social activists from different parts of the world. I do this to raise awareness of deep ecology, to experience the spirit of rivers and mountains and to advocate the need education of the poor and underprivileged children all over the world. I have helped to build a school for the rural poor children in India. I am involved in everyday experiments in education, organic farming, natural building and with life itself. Life is a great experiment and believe in truth as the basis of this experiment. We never fail but keep learning. Life is a great teacher. Hence the rivers, mountains, forests and ordinary people. I am also a believer in everyday miracles of life and firmly believe in working hard to witness the miracles. I do Pray and remain grateful....
