Enjoy Hi Andy and Mosa!
Glad you have made it to the half way point safely and with lots of great adventures. I had never heard of Lassen NP, but loved the photo of the geothermal lake. I hope you get a chance to enjoy some of the great parts of Oregon and Washington that are off the trail. Stay safe, and look forward to hearing more about your hiking.
Love,
Aunt Dee
Happy Trails We just got home from 2800 miles on the Goldwing. About 300 to 400 miles a day. Mostly great weather. Went through South Dakota, parts of Yellowstone and up to Billings. We are both tired but in our case the bike does most of the work. Glad to hear you guys had a good rest and the trail is better. Looks beautiful
Hello Glad to know that the weather is better. As I flew over the mountains on my way home, I saw all those snow covered peaks and worried you would be back into waist high snow again. From your pictures I can see that the scenery is beautiful, and no snow in sight! I enjoyed hanging out with you in Berkeley. Let me know where your next mail drop is so I can send some treats!

too late Sorry to break the news to you...but you missed your window of opportunity:
Nude hiking banned in Swiss region
Associated Press
Appenzell, Switzerland
Voters in the heart of the Swiss Alps on Sunday passed legislation banning naked hiking after dozens of mostly German nudists started rambling through their picturesque region. By a show of hands, citizens of the tiny canton of Appenzell Inner Rhodes voted overwhelmingly at their traditional open-air annual assembly to impose a 200-Swiss-franc ($176) fine on violators. Only a scattering of people on Sunday opposed the ban on the back-to-nature activity that took off last autumn when naked hikers primarily Germans started showing up in eastern Switzerland. German Web sites promoting the activity describe it as “a special experience of nature, free and healthy” and said nude walking in the Alps has roots in antiquity
mosa Hey Mosa, I am glad you are having fun and I hope your knee feels better soon. I love you. Take care, I wish we had a chance to see in San Diego before you left, but I guess it didn't work out. Can't wait to see you when you are all done with this trip.
Welcome!
My name is Andy Boone and I am hiking the Pacific Crest Trail with a good friend of mine Mosa Shayan. We are working our way from the Mexico/US boarder to the Canada/US boarder. There is about 2,600 miles of trail through the best mountains out west. We start in the middle of the desert and hike north 700 miles to the start of the Sierra Nevada. Then after 900 miles of the Sierra Nevadas we reach Oregon and the Cascade range that we follow up through Washington to Canada.... full info
