We are in the great town of Wrightood getting breakfast and resupply for our food bags. Again we had snow and hot weather to deal with. The second day after Big Bear Lake City we camped at a really nice hot spring. They had built small rock dams to create a perfect hot tube. So after a good day of hiking we soaked for while and felt as good as new. Once in town we went to breakfast had a great meal and some random guy we didn't even speak to bought our meal. So that as a nice way to start the day and feel welcome.
We are now 370 miles into the trail now. That is well over half way through the desert and to my grampas house in Lake Isabella where we with take some time of the trail. But in our next town there is a couple who will let any hikers stay the night and do there laundry. So we both ready for that stop and try to update the blog as well.

By a show of hands, citizens of the tiny canton of Appenzell Inner Rhodes voted overwhelmingly at their traditional open-air annual assembly to impose a 200-Swiss-franc ($176) fine on violators. Only a scattering of people on Sunday opposed the ban on the back-to-nature activity that took off last autumn when naked hikers — primarily Germans — started showing up in eastern Switzerland. German Web sites promoting the activity describe it as “a special experience of nature, free and healthy” and said nude walking in the Alps has roots in antiquity
