Hey Guys!! I bumped into Julia Bayley today in town here today (Fort Kent your favorite little town in Maine) and she told me about the article and your blog! Way Cool! Every parent could only hope for sons like you. When the journey winds up you have an open invitation to revisit Fort Kent and enjoy more brewskies at my bar. Be careful out there...you are in my thoughts and most of all HAVE FUN! Darlene

Way to go!!! I really enjoy your blog, what terrific writing! It's sounds like the 1st leg was extremely difficult, but congrats on hanging in there and completing the trek! I can just feel your discomfort when wet and tired, and the aching muscles tryig to paddle into the wind. Get some rest and good luck on the next phase!!
Thanks for the blog Glad to know you are both surviving, and finally good weather. I hope the good weather continues. We are cheering for you back in Madison, WI.
Wildlife Reading your most recent experience is like watching Nature on PBS! Thankfully the wolf only had designs on the deer. I'm kinda happy I'm just traveling with you in spirit!

I got dropped in the middle of my comments without a chance to tell you to keep on truckin and blogging. I'm glad you went to Quebec. Quebec City is so beautiful. Course I saw it from the 10th floor of a pretty swanky hotel. To each his own. How's your Mom's food holding out. Be sure to give her credit for that and worrying. Regards, Merry Corbin
Extra Ordinary To the Boones...your strength and endurance mixed with a touch of lunacy are truly awe inspiring. I wish you the best in your travels and look forward to many more updates. Good luck fellas!
Where? Your first blog entry told of your hike in California. Your second (Day 5) says you are at Saranac Lake. I Googled that to learn you are now in New York state. Google also showed a nice satellite view of the area. Thanks for the opportunity to 'follow' you on your epic trek!
Welcome!
My name is Andy Boone and I am hiking the Pacific Crest Trail with a good friend of mine Mosa Shayan. We are working our way from the Mexico/US boarder to the Canada/US boarder. There is about 2,600 miles of trail through the best mountains out west. We start in the middle of the desert and hike north 700 miles to the start of the Sierra Nevada. Then after 900 miles of the Sierra Nevadas we reach Oregon and the Cascade range that we follow up through Washington to Canada.... full info
