Foteyvroud abbey
Gday Bob, Grandma's ( Isabella de Angeloume)not buried with her husband , the fella beside her is her brother in law (King Richard 1st) She was married to his brother King John who's buried in England, (he was the chap that was forced into signing the Magna Carta , Isabella married Hugh de Lusignan after King John died and had nine more children, the second born was William de Valence, That's my ancestor, The reason poor old King Richard is there is because he copped an arrow in the arm in battle and because there were no antibiotics in those days he passed away over there, Cheers terry

hot hot h...
good! good! That "promised" hot weather is here and I, whose little engine overheats, an gently perspiring at this early hour! Had newish friends round yesterday and made rose petal sorbet for only the second time ever, very delicate flavour but suited those ladies who are always dieting. Made lange de chat twice, different recipes, and both times the result was one big biscuit. Haircut and colour this morning,- get out the wallet. WI tonight and am on tea making duties. Love Rxxx

correction
pouring wine sh. read "pouring rain". Wet here today, better forecast tomorrow which is their last day before early morning trip to Exeter airport on Wednesday for onward journey to Disneyland, then Paris where Rob will meet them for a couple of days and onwards by train to Luxembourg for a week. As for me, left bereft in cool Cornwall. xxx

and further
We are having good weather, lots of sun though not hot. When the children were in their teens we had a holiday in Douarnenez with Mostyn family and all the places you are visiting are (dimly) familiar to me. Melissa and I remember very wet weather and wearing 2 cagoules at once while sitting outside one evening with other happy campers playing pass the parcel while drinking much free red wine in pouring wine. Such fun ( it really was actually )
22nd June 2015

DOUARNENEZ
No rain and lots of sun. No pass the parcel - not many campers on our site ! xxx
