Are you following the coast line to Spain?
We enjoyed a week at a Pierre et Vacances resort near Les Sables D'Ollone on the Atlantic Coast. Also are you going to visit the megaliths in Carnac? I guess I can wait to see...

Love the blue of the linseed with the green grass, one of my(many) favourite colour combos. M & Co arrived safely yesterday, having travelled Bangkok to Vienna ( there they visited the children's former school and met up with friends) then to London, hire car to Exeter where I met them.Rachel & D. In I of W for music fest I think and home tomorrow.is this a suitable comment? - maybe not..

Linseed
The fields were quite luminous the further south we got and the more in bloom. I think it's also called Flax and that I grew some from seed as summer bedding one year. Check your local garden centre xx

What a lovely town!!!
When I lived in Belgium, I pretty much assumed that that entire coast was just empty flat marsh land. By the way, are Irish Travellers ethnically the same as gypsies? We have Travellers in the States too.

veules les roses
Better not answer the gypsy question on the grounds of political correctness.

Thanks. I'd like to go there!
Dear Joy, lovely. Will you ask Bob to do something specially for me: give me a smile! Look forward to seeing it . Bigxx

Smile
Will do. He usually has only one face for cameras - his serious Salt pose. I'll find a smiley one for the next issue :)

Inside the monumental church in Fontevraud Abbey are 4 recumbent tomb statues of the Plantagenet dynasty, two English kings Henry II and Richard I and their wives

Kings Wife
One of the Queens lying there is Isabella d'Angeloume and her husband is not there,he is buried in England, lying alongside her is King Richard 1st ( The Lionheart) , her brother in law, Isabella's husband was King John,(The King that reluctantly signed the Magna Carta,) Isabella was my Grandma( many generations ago!) Just a small insight to your description of their resting places,I am going over to see her remains in October, PS, more trivia for you, who was the only Queen of England never to ever set foot on English soil? King Richard 1st 's wife, Regards Terry Vallence

It just so happens that John is my 22nd Great Grandfather. That means we are very very distantly related by marirage. Joy xx

Thanks for the memories...
we spent many a vacation on the Riviera, using Antibes as the base, with the beach in the morning and the hilltop towns in the afternoon. I bought a painting of Antibes at one of the galleries in St Paul de Vence which is hanging next to me on the office wall. As for your next destination, our last holiday on the Riviera was just to the east of Cavalaire-sur-Mer at the Pierre et Vacances resort at Pramousquiere, so I look forward to that blog.

Friday mail
Already autumnal here but a good forecast for a couple of days. Did I say how much Ann(bridge partner) and I enjoyed the weekend in Cheltenhem playing the game? We did rather well. I've invited 3 ladies for Sunday lunch with a hand or 2 afterwards. Got the menu and the ingredients and will cook everything ahead of time tomorrow. When serving in a kitchen-diner it needs to be prepared ahead as there is no-one else to pour drinks and converse etc. Lots love Rxxxx Had an email from Liz.

Your blog.
Your blogs have been terrific, we have enjoyed them so much. Your descriptions and photographs have made it rather like being there, but please can you bring some of that lovely sunshine, it is horrendous here. Look forward to seeing you on your return. John and Yvonne.

Legs and BP
I expect that your tabs are caussing the trouble. I think it is that the heart is slowed to much for the exertion of going up hill- it was with me anyway. You should get another type which might be better. I did.. but then had to have a pacemakereventually, but that was just me
