heading to the best bits ;-) Hi, enjoying reading your blog :) Glad to see you heading down to the South Island now, lots more adventures ahead. You would be most welcome to visit or stay with us in Oamaru when you get this far, we understand that you have many cool things planned, but if you have time to stop in our wee town it is quite different to anywhere else in NZ. Landline (03) 4345988, mobile (027) 6095271. You would be welcome to stay, we can do beds and showers and laundry done :) Of course if Oamaru doesn't fit with your plans, then we won't be offended lol.
Looking forward to your next update, Jane and Andrew.
Pipiriki Great stuff - you are well off the beaten track - we visited relatives at nearby Wanganui but didn't get into the back country like you intrepid explorers
Napier - art deco capital of the world! Wow indeed - we have happy memories of all the art deco buildings - and for you to catch it at Carnival Time, how lucky................
Envy We are so jealous - sounds like an amazing day - we spent a few days in Russell at the top 10 site in our Maui - have you been to visit the Duke of Marlboro yet? Fantastic! Cheers n love Ian and Diane
So pleased you got there after all the hassle "excuse me " in Japanese is Shitsurei !!!! So be careful take care bring home a lantern sheep for wooly !
Think we'd rather have the snow! You're not missing much so far! More heavy rain today, 100mph winds in Wales, and more to come on Friday. The North Warnborough to Upton Grey road is now closed, the road to South Warnborough is closed and the main road is only just passable! We're looking forward to some nice sunny pics from New Zealand. Enjoy the remainder of your time in Tokyo.
