Left Tokyo just!!!! Arrived at airport at 2pm for 6.30 flight. Flight delayed due to technical problems. No flights allowed after 11pm so we were all informed if problem not resolved Air New Zealand were putting us up at Tokyo Disneyland Hotel. However also informed that snow was forecast for the next day and busses would not operate in the snow and the airport might be closed!!! Problem fixed at 10.40pm everyone herded on to the plane as fast as possible and we took off with apparently 6 seconds to spare! Interesting flight Lyn dropped her bread roll which careered down the aisle, flight attendant dropped her cheese and Tony managed to squirt his salad dressing over the Japanese on the other side of the aisle. Does anyone know the Japanese for entente cordiale?

Safely arrived in Auckland (no-one seemed to know what the stall warning light was for anyway). Just been for walk round Harbour, very warm, had a meal overlooking the Bay (romantic Valentines Day!) then followed the crowds and spent 2 hours walking round the amazing Auckland Lantern Festival (couple of photos attached) Picking up Maui campervan in the morning - really looking forward to that.
