Good to hear from you.
Hi, Leonard asked me the other night if I ever hear from you guys and where I thought you might be now. I told him that I was pretty sure you were in Italy, because I had received a blog notice from you that day. Hope you're having fun. Stay dry!!! Love, Jo

Puccini
Puccini says, "get your hand off my knee, Bill!" Your blog is just great. Thanks for taking the time. Next time I go traveling it will be at my pace. Slowly getting lost. I have a high school friend visiting for a few days. More later.

5 villages
So glad you went there! Outstanding memories for all of us who were fortunate to walk the trails. Going up to the Lake District?

I know what you mean about too much to remember or even take in. Your head feels as though it is about to burst. I always feel this way after more than a week in Europe or anywhere when I don't take a break of a few days at least in nature. You say you don't know where to go next...any chance of a beach or a woods for a day or two. Probably not, unless your plan includes the Greek Isles. I am enjoying your blog though...thanks for keeping up the effort. Susan Frisbee

PURPLE!!!
These are beautiful pictures. I'm so envious - can't wait until I can do my own tour around the world. Glad you're getting to live your dream. As for the color of the year, I had to laugh because my hair has been purple for two months now and I'm loving it!!!!

You haven't said how well you are speaking Italian. Your photos are wonderful. Looks like you have had good weather for the most part. Keep absorbing all that history - and keep well!

Hi, I have the oldest funkiest computer to slug out a few lines. The trip has been really good so far. We may get some wild weather tonight, but I:m tucked into my dear little room. Museums tomorrow. Kyoto was charming and small scale. Thanks for the coffee from vending machines tip, Lynn. You are so right. Otherwise it is not so easy to find. Lots of pictures and no idea how to load them until I get home. Saturday : { Oh that is just silly. I love home! Italy sounds great and the pics are excellent. \thanks for taking the time!

The Bedit
Is this your husbands first trip to Europe? On my first trip to Europe my first opinon of the Bedit was a bit of confussion untill we got to Roma and my Italien friend and her mother and Grandma gave us a demo on the use of what the Bedit was for. I argued with my b-friend at the time all the way thru Europe over the Bedit. Have you thought about staying at the youth hostels.? My friend and her husband do that when they travel in Europe..

Premature Vacation
So.....now we get blogged before you even leave? Sweet. I never did hear about the family reunion and how you liked that area. I notice Gabriel is wearing a Run DMC shirt? He is adorable. Hey Bill, I forgot the name of the film you recommended. I wish you both a wonderful trip to Italy. Don't forget my offer....if you can't get on a flight, you can come to the Motor City. I'll take you to Olive Garden. I know this is going out to all your 'blog' friends but oh well. Hi everyone. I am Carolyn and I live in Michigan. Isn't it fun to (kind of) go along with Lynn and Bill as they tour the world? Arrivederci!

Sounds like a real "border bummer" story
Very sorry to hear your border crossing story! Hope the weather and the scenery up there enroute make up for it. And hopefully the refreshments and dining in Nelson were up to expected and hoped for standards! --Nils

Welcome Home!
I have so enjoyed the journey with you both. Lots of vicarious fun for me! I walked up thru your yard Thurs. and was alarmed to see lights blazing. I walked up on the deck and saw your travel gear and stuff and realized you are home! Nothing stirred, so I left. According to the last blog, I'm glad I didn't knock for you were both probably sound asleep. Maybe you will have a travel show for the Hope Islanders on the big wall!?!? Soon!? Linda
