yep it's in reference to the exposed wires...however these showers often are what I would call cold as this one was. It's only tolerable for me if I'm very hot to begin with, which I was.
a sucide shower is when... there are exposed wires to the shower head....we had that in our hotel in Quepos and I had it in the guest house I stayed in San Pedro/San Jose also in Guatemala both times...it's very very common but makes us gringos a bit nervous
