it would be interesting to try other pupusas since
since I'm not sure how authentic the one I had was.
9th March 2011

Well, you must have wi-fi-NICE! So you liked a pupusa? Will have to tell Charles....Hope your flights go well. See you soon! Love you!
9th March 2011

See you tomorrow night! I think I will bring you a jacket or something since it will be coolish and raining. Love you!
8th March 2011

there are several people I
will miss for sure. But we might communicate by email/skype. I've been checking your weather and it's good it won't be frigid. Hopefully you guys are done with that for this year!
8th March 2011

Slept pretty welll...
considering I'm traveling tomorrow and thinking about that!
7th March 2011

I bet you are really going to miss your friends there....and the warmth. It looks like it won't be too cold while you are here, the first few days. It should be humid a bit too.

She only sees her husband once a year? Strange marriage. Each to his own. Glad you are feeling better!
3rd March 2011

glad you liked it...
I was on a roll...gluten-free of course ;)
3rd March 2011

Ha! You said a funny at the beginning of your spiel about the toilet backing up, you said"....but I am privy...." Ha! Good one. So to fix the odor issue you are using a paper towel? And papaya lips-I can imagine how that could have hurt. Now you know. You are learning all sorts of things there! Keeps your mind active.....Love you!
3rd March 2011

thanks...
Margie is staying until the end of March and Barb as well...actually it looks like Barb will go to Panama for a week or so upon leaving Costa Rica....quite the traveler!
3rd March 2011

oh...that should hold me...
over probably until I leave! Great!
3rd March 2011

I've only seen one...
they tend to be larger than the ones we have and certainly larger than yours.
3rd March 2011

Sounds like you had a good day. Have you seen hummingbirds around your yard? Very interesting facts!
2nd March 2011

I wanted to mention that there is a loaf of Rudi's cinnamon raisin bread in my freezer plus a Udi's loaf (whole grain I believe) so do you want me to buy more or will that hold you over for a day? Or two.
2nd March 2011

I like your comment about the tight pants! Ha! Is Margie flying home with you or is she staying longer?
1st March 2011

there's more photos...
that show some of the other rooms...very nicely decorated
1st March 2011

I think it has to do with my...
connection not being strong enough or something. It always took a very long time and now the connection is lost before it has time to download. I think I'll just wait and download the rest from your house.
1st March 2011

Very interesting. I am going to look at the links you provided.......Hope you figure out why you can't post photos... Frustrating.
1st March 2011
Living room, dining into kitchen at Maria Elena's home

That is a very nice home! No wonder you liked it.

I haven't found
gluten-free breads anywhere. I was just at the autonercado in Heredia with a couple of friends but we didn't see any there. I've shared some info with a woman in Atenas that has a macrobiotica about some good gluten-free breads and other foods from the states. She says she wants to start carrying some in her store.
28th February 2011

oh okay...that happens to everyone...
one time or another.
28th February 2011

What a small world is right...
thanks for following my travel blog in the land of La Pura Vida John! I have only about 10 more days here before heading back but it'll be easy for you to catch up on my past 6+ weeks here! Atenas is lovely as many other places in CR. I hope Bonnie will enjoy reading my blog as well! Ciao, Barb
