there are several people I will miss for sure. But we might communicate by email/skype. I've been checking your weather and it's good it won't be frigid. Hopefully you guys are done with that for this year!
I bet you are really going to miss your friends there....and the warmth. It looks like it won't be too cold while you are here, the first few days. It should be humid a bit too.
Ha! You said a funny at the beginning of your spiel about the toilet backing up, you said"....but I am privy...." Ha! Good one. So to fix the odor issue you are using a paper towel? And papaya lips-I can imagine how that could have hurt. Now you know. You are learning all sorts of things there! Keeps your mind active.....Love you!
thanks... Margie is staying until the end of March and Barb as well...actually it looks like Barb will go to Panama for a week or so upon leaving Costa Rica....quite the traveler!
I wanted to mention that there is a loaf of Rudi's cinnamon raisin bread in my freezer plus a Udi's loaf (whole grain I believe) so do you want me to buy more or will that hold you over for a day? Or two.
I think it has to do with my... connection not being strong enough or something. It always took a very long time and now the connection is lost before it has time to download. I think I'll just wait and download the rest from your house.
I haven't found gluten-free breads anywhere. I was just at the autonercado in Heredia with a couple of friends but we didn't see any there. I've shared some info with a woman in Atenas that has a macrobiotica about some good gluten-free breads and other foods from the states. She says she wants to start carrying some in her store.
What a small world is right... thanks for following my travel blog in the land of La Pura Vida John! I have only about 10 more days here before heading back but it'll be easy for you to catch up on my past 6+ weeks here!
Atenas is lovely as many other places in CR. I hope Bonnie will enjoy reading my blog as well!
Ciao,
Barb
Wishing you well Hello Barb, my name is John allen and I work with Keith, we have discussed Costa Rica a few times over the last 6 months, I have a strong desire to be there, someday. My wife Bonnie spent 10 days there two years ago, part of there time was In Athenas ministering at Camp Brittany. A very small world. Thanks for sharing. I will walk on Costa Rician soil some day soon, until then I can experience it with your blogs. Thank you
John
To get away from the cold dry winter weather in Central Oregon I'll be spending two months in Costa Rica from January 9 - March 9 2010 and thought doing a travel blog would be a fun and efficient way to let my family & friends know what I'm doing and experiencing in the land of La Pura Vida. ... full info
