Extra! Extra! Planes crash into sandcastle! Read all about it!
It broke! Ten minutes from the end? That's like some bully coming up and knocking down your sandcastle! To bad Sean, but I'm sure you will fly again soon. After seeing those impressive castles, I wonder where they store the pails and shovels used to make those? Look out, here comes a wave!

Zion
Glad to hear you are planning to hike the Narrows. You'll need those hiking sticks to help keep your footing, but it is memorable hike in an amazing place. We are really enjoying your posts.

Your real talent
Marcia After reading all your blog entries your real talent( among others I'm sure) is writing. You need to use this talent to write a travel guidebook or something!

The Grand Cranyon!
I like the way that you all have found the special colors in our would no matter what the cloudy page presents. From the whites and browns of the Hoover Dam, the purple hue of the canyon, the red, orange and yellows of the sunset and I'm sure the many shades of Maggie's favorite pink at the mermaid deli. You seem to see the special crayons used to brighten our world no matter where you go. Now, try to stay within the lines, and don't forget there's a sharpener in the back of the box. Color On!!

"Made it to the Grand Canyon" and "Amazing Sunset" - Awesome pictures of Man and God's Work!

Dramatic color change
The dramatic change from white near the water to probably at least 50 feet above is because the water levels have dropped so dramatically in the last 2 or three years. The white part shows where the normal water level used to be. The color change from white (to the normal color striations above) is the same at Lake Powell, where the ferry across the lake no longer runs because the ramp to get on it is too far from the water. They are running out of water out West, and it's a very serious problem.

Let it Ride!!!
I know a sure bet when I see one, and your kids are experts at "Money Machines"!! I'm sure your heard Tommy's famous line "I'm a winner" many times. Love the pic with them at the casino. That will be replayed twelve years from now, when all your kids, now over 21, will then make their fortunes at real "Money Machines" as Sean will invent a special themed machine based on wildlife pictures from Billy's portfolio, that the professional actress Maggie will demonstrate at a Vegas showroom as Tommy plays the machine and yells to the crowd- "It's A Winner"!!! Now, that you can bet on!

The Whispering Tree
The roots of the tree hug the earth so tight, So branches can touch the sun’s bright light. Lessons for life, nature seems to shout! We get the message, know it’s about -- Patience and love and all that stuff! But we’re all human, enough is enough! The miracle of man is that he took a tree, and made “Todd’s CookHouse” for all to see That Vacations are meant for eating out. No cooking, no stress, no reason to pout. The days will return when every night “Dinner is served” by the overhead light. The tree, in its wonder, speaks to you all. “ Hang on tight – you’re having a ball!” Love, love! Grandma

Just a thought
I know the scenery is impressive, but the memorable pictures will be of the people, so be sure to include Marcia in the gallery of pictures: Marcia and Todd, Whole Family, Marcia and Todd individually with each of the kids. Dad

Travel meltdowns
They happen. My personal best occurred in Florence, Italy in a mini-van with both kids, my mother, and my mother-in-law. It was hot, we were lost, the kids were fighting, and Chuck seemed to think I had super-human powers to conjur up parking spaces. I had a rant of epic proportions. Good news: we still love each other. Bad news: most of us still remember it. Love you so much.

A Breeze, Some Cheese and more Please!
Life inside your "home" getting a little stuffy at times? Completely understand, but I like your attempt at "meals on wheels"! But to stand outside in the warm night air with your loved one, listening to the soft sounds of the dirty bathtub water draining....priceless. Stand tall like the trees.....and shout to the sky....I am an RV'er!! And I am proud! Just not to loud...or Tommy may wake-up. Have fun!

Mirror, Mirror on the Lake, Who's the Fairest of All Snakes?
Gotta love those twisting mountain roads. Like a snake on hot asphalt! We remember those well, and those beautiful "rocks" too. Luckily, we didn't have the huge number of people you have, but I guess you just have to roll with them. A fun question we asked each other while there was, "is the dome half full or half empty"? Yosemite makes you look at it sometimes thinking that way. Hey, long live Rock and Roll!

What an awesome trip this is! I have to tell you I look forward each morning to seeing what the latest post is about and the chance to enjoy your adventures. What a priceless gift you are all giving each other with this time together. Just wish we could have connected with you somewhere and shared a small taste of the fun. As always, Marcia, your writing captures perfectly not only the beauty and adventure of the trip but a real sense of each family member and their uniqueness. I love you all.

I sit here, after reading your blog on my computer, look out my window and think again of all the wonderful things you are doing and seeing. I tell Cappy about all the animals with their huge antlers, and I show her Billy\'s pictures. She barks once at the striped squirrel, sniffs at Tommy\'s Grizzly Bear, really. really warns me about Sean robbing the bank, and has absolutely no reaction to Maggie\'s beautiful pictures of the Sunset at the Grand Tetons. I think she agrees with Maggie that, after a while, the grass all looks the same! I finally give her a treat, and settle back to enjoying every one of your moments for myself! I guess a dog is still a dog! It\'s been so great following you, and I hope you will still have a little room in your memory drive for the bottom bunk mate! I can\'t wait for you to tell me about your speedy saucer rides, your hikes, your views from the sky, your \"close encounters\" with big eyes, claws, antlers, and the nose of a friendly horse! You are all doing so many new things! I climb, hike, run, swim, jump, scream with you all --- and then I collapse! Where does your mother find the energy to make her fingers go at the end of the day?! And how does your father open his eyes to the road at dawn?? Youth is such a sweet thing! However, To share your energy, excitement, and wonder touches the spark that still smolders in these old bones! The warmth is so special. Thank you! But I still get COLD on those ledges! Be careful, and know I\'m thinking of you all. Love, love!

Hey Baldwin Clan - I was so excited to see the link to the blog this morning on facebook! Mike didn\'t tell me about it; so I have been neglecting my work this morning and catching up on all of your adventures! Looks like it has been an amazing time and the RV looks great! It is giving me ideas for an adventure for Mike and I! Enjoy the rest of the trip and I will make sure to check in more regularly! PS...please tell Maggie I was thinking about her last week on her birthday! I can\'t believe she is 12; as I remember attending her 1st birthday! She is definitely taller than Aunt Kelly!

Fly Me To The Moon, Let Me Play Among The Stars!
"Ground control to Major Tom"....Baldwin, wow sounds like a really exciting ride! When we see "chopper" on his future Christmas list, it won't be for a small kitchen item for sure. Glad the winds weren't howling any faster, or you may have seen a kid with glasses on a broom hitching for a ride. No...wait...different park. Sorry. Anyway, glad your feet are back on the ground safe. But before Tommy launches himself off of his bunk again, please make sure he has filed a flight plan. Thanks for flying the friendly sky's!

Even on our end, it's better than TV!
We look forward to each day's blog so much. Stunningly beautiful photos. And the kids' blogs are awesome. Their senses of humor so come through. Think Billy might have investigative reporting in his future. Keep them coming. We love you lots.

Marcia, I'm really enjoying your commentary on the trip. It brings back so many memories of doing a similar trip 21 years ago (we only did 14 days, covering places you've seen to date). Look forward to the blog every day!

The Thrill of Victory..and the Agony of De-feet!
A gondola ride to "Heaven", now that sounds like a great way to go. That hike on the other hand, leaves me breathless, but from my point of view, well worth it. Great job all! Now, if you see a "Stairway to Heaven", just keep on singing!

Just Kidding Around!
What is going on with you guys?!?! It looks from these pictures and stories, that Maggie has been placed in jail for possibly not enjoying a meat product at some location, Tommy's blank is always on his mind, Sean has now turned to a life of crime after his Sheriff job didn't work out, and Billy has been adopted by some guy named Bob Jones!?!? Tell your parents to get these things straighten out at once!!! .......Also, please tell them what great kids they have and how special each of their stories and pictures were to enjoy. Thanks for sharing!!

Bighorn Mountains
I have a special affection for the Bighorn Mountains, as I got to go fishing and hiking there every year when we visited our grandparents in Basin! My mom has lived in Cody before. I agree that Wyoming has a whole lot of nothing! (I guess they save it up for all of the amazing mountain scenery and awesome national parks. ;) It's good you weren't driving through in the winter, when it can get very dangerous.
