Reminded me of a line from a play The Glass Menagerie has this line, "I said pleurosis, but you thought I said blue roses..." You are right, that is dreadful about those poor birds!
trust me it is not all beautiful, a large proportion of it is dirty and smelly and ugh. Every time HB touches something her Mum or I get the hand sanitiser out.
As I sit here Freezing ;-) What a beautiful view you had from your room Anita! You cannot imagine the huge smile I have on my face reading your entries. I am just so darn happy for you!

what a lot of travelling Wow, what a lot of travelling. I didnt realise you had to come back to Heathrow just to go out again - it reminds me of Thailand when we just seemed to be hopping from one airport to another!! At least you got to fly business, the pics look amazing, and even that airplane bed looks really comfy!!!
You're so lucky to have kids that travel well, I hope they stay so well behaved for the whole 6 months!! :D

WOW - Just WOW Hi Anita!
Thank you SO MUCH for taking us along on your wondrous journey. I am so stickin' happy for you and this opportunity you have been blessed with. I just finally got caught up on your most recent entries and I had a huge lump in my throat when I was finished reading.
Enjoy each and every minute!
Looking forward to when you check in again,

Le boat The boat you were on is called a Chinese Junk. The Chinese have been building them for a very long time. I'm sure when you translate it back into Chinese it does not have the same meaning as what we might connect to it. Alas, if you had pointed the camera over the port side you would have snapped a picture of that bridge I was wandering about!
Thanks for the great posts, it's crystal clear you were built for this job!
Fun! The castle looks exactly like the one in Disneyland California. Too bad they haven't built more rides yet. Also too bad you didn't get to stay for fireworks. You might be able to see them from your hotel window if you're facing the island. I hope you get some decent sleep VERY soon!
You're There! Wow, Anita! What a wonderful installment. We were in Hong Kong for the changing of the millenium (12/31/1999) and really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed with friends who lived in Discovery Bay on Lantou Island. Unfortunately, Disneyland wasn't built yet. Can't wait to hear more.
The beds on the aircraft look amazing!
response lol, the zip and the shoelace have many more adventures to come. The next one will be The Zip and the Shoelace spend a whole day on the plane.
Yes, indeed it is . . . :-) As much as you pattered on about the children, I could feel your discontent with their parents. After you left KY, I told Jerry that you wouldn't be long on this job. So glad you've moved on! I'm praying that God blesses this 6 month jaunt! Have loads of fun! xoxoxo Judith
