Hi Guys - blogs have been fab and remarkably well written! You 'part time' travellers take care, and big huggs from both of us! Only 6 months till we'll see you!
love you both
John and Ffix
Thanks.... Thanks for the bloggs and sharing your journey with us - it has been fun following you around!! Trouble is, this potentially brings closer the day I might have to work with Martin again. Groan!
Thanks again!
Charles ;-)
Maintenez la Droite! Not sure if its correct French-Canadian but it sounds impressive, more succinct than Obtenez toujours votre homme! Not know what I'm on about? Ask someone from the RCMP. =)
Aaaanyway, hi! Am i too late? Supposedly theres another blog imminent but i thought you were on a plane now. Still loving the blogs and accompanying pics. All looks so spectacular! (especially Anj) Glad you've been having much fun.
I am offended by all the moaning about England by commenters in the last blog, they lie! England at mo is sunny and warm! Still dont need any more than a tee to walk outside, great! You would'nt imagine that its mid-October!
Hope the flight is speedy and lacking in delays and let me be the first to say: Maison bienvenue!!! (seriously, probably not correct French but I'm a dancer) =)
From Old England Hi mega travellers. How did the cycle up Cadillac Mountain go? You probably cannot remember as it was so long ago. Marianne says you must keep posting Blogs on your return as I told her about the hectic social scene here in Bexhill. Hoping your trip around the Maritimes went well. Hope too that the return flight is smooth. See you soon.
Now in the home straight... Still enjoying the blogs, but haven't spotted my hat Anj - I need photographic evidence that my hat definitely made the trip!
Sounds like you're starting to wind down a little, why else wouldn't you have taking up the challenge of walking the 2,174 Appalachian trail. Seriously though, thought I detected a hint of sadness at leaving America from your last blog. Perhaps it is the realisation that you're leaving America en route back to Britain.
Keep chin up and enjoy the remainder of your time away.
Look forward to seeing you when you get back and seeing all the pics- especially the ones with my hat in them!
Ollie
Homeward Bound Enjoy your last few days in Canada. England is cold and wet but we are waiting to welcome you home. Have a safe trip back. When will the video be ready??
Home Coming! Hi guys,
Thanks for the continued updates, it's brilliant to read about your adventures and see such wonderful pictures! I hope you are both well and am looking forward to seeing you when you return. Can't be long now! The time has flown by-I'm sure you can't wait to get back to the cold and grey fog that is England!! We can't wait to see you though!! Abi xx
What's new pussycats?? Just been catching up with your latest blog (from NYC). Others may be too tired (or too busy) to log any comments, but you won't catch me out that way! Had to get my magnifying glass out to appreciate the pictures but understand you were trying to cram a lot in (and time is a constraint). Thought Angela looked very fetching in blue see-through!!By now you should be nearing Acadia NP and Bar Harbour. Hope the weather is good so you see it at its best. Understand from Brenda that New England was at least partly just shades of grey. All AOK here.Have fun and look after each other.Love
Happy Birthday Wonderful that you all met up, makes the world a smaller place.
Happy Birthday, Angela - one to remember! Hope you enjoyed your pint and steak'n'kidney pie in the Brit Pub. If you thought the Mall of America was Minneapolis' hot shopping spot, you should have visited Bloomington's IKEA and Toys'R'Us! Love to all, Brenda xx
Delay Only just had a chance to catch up on the blogs and the envious jealousy continues! Everything looks absolutely awe inspiring, and you've seen meese! (plural of moose) Woo!
Glad you are still enjoying your tour and had a semi-relaxing few days in Minnie. Also glad that 3M look happy and healthy, Little M looks as cute as ever! (as do Daddy and Mommy M, would'nt want any parental jealousy)
VERY fancy mirror shot! I think you should send it to wildlife photographer of the year! =) Its good to see you're making good use of ya new toy!
Old Blighty is still furiously warm with the very occasional shower, I think the weathers forgotten its september!
Keep the great blogs coming!
Matty xxx
For God's sake! Damn you two! Abi always sends me these blogs and I always have a look before struggling to stop myself from flying into a jealous rage! I think, from now on, you should only be allowed to say that you're, 'having a nice time'. Any more detail than that is just unfair on all of us chumps sat in England keyboard tapping all day!
So - once again - damn you, Martin and Anj... Damn your brilliant ideas and your ability to organise yourself so that you actually see them through!
Keep the blogs coming!
Joe
PS: Nice hat, Anj!
Depression I feel even more depressed then yesterday having read your news! Sounds like you are having such a fab time - grey ol' London can't compete!
jxx
Loving the pici's! Hi you two! love the picture of the mountain reflection, very professional. Sorry to disappoint, but i've not seen bugs life either! Very jealous sat here at work on a monday morning, it really does look amazing. Take care, love s x
Moose! Northern Exposure! *รถ* ... it's supposed to represent a moose. Really. Glad ya still enjoying it and getting plenty of exercise. Photos and text continue to be fantastic and turn many an iris emerald! Keep them coming! Mxx
Happy birthday Anj This is just to wish you a happy birthday. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time if the last couple of months is anything to go by. HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANJ!!! x
Wow! Gosh-what amazing pictures of that whale. It must have looked even more amazing in real life, what a sight! Glad to hear you are still having fun, the hire car looks very suave. Joe and I went to Prague for a few days last week which was beautiful, it was nice to get away although it wasn't for long enough. Am sooo jealous of you guys! Love to u both, Abi xx
I got the link for the blog from Jess.
After making a few enquiries around the office, I think it is Norther Exposure too. I expect some fancy reward for the time and effort I invested.
Think I've read all your blogs now. They're all amazing - never thought neither of you could do so much physical stuff. Really proud of both of you. I expect this little trip will get Martin (the slacker) into shape.
Keep having fun!
I am so jealous... Greetings from a bright sunny day in Brixton. Managed to catch up on all of your blogs thanks to Jess. Everything look fantastic - even Martin look a little on the 'cool' side. Honestly though, good to read/see that you two are having such a brilliant time and getting so much done. Anj, you scare me with how organised you are (I'm assuming that you've done most of the planning - Martin, do forgive me if I'm wrong).
I'm fairly intrigued by this moose hunt and I wonder how much longer we're going to have to wait for the first sighting. I wish all succes in your quest.
Happy Hunting!!
We have just realised that Minneapolis will be the biggest city you've seen since Seattle, so you've got to be impressed! The house will be all clean for your arrival (I'll be scrubbing all day!) ... am counting sleeps! Mx
Three snails and a steak......! ( it's a joke!! ) Sorry about the silly pun! Brilliant Blogs and amazing photos, can't wait to see the film!! I am guessing Roseanne for the TV series. Sorry I missed your call, just too far from the phone at the time. Arrived back from Belgium Sunday evening - had a great time as always. Hope Angela has fully recovered from her cold. Am starting work at the Town Hall tomorrow. I agree Blackburn played well and they should soon be moving up the table. Have fun, drive safely. Love to you both.
We got it!!!! After much debate and a little bit of research to rule out Twin Peaks, we have decided it's NORTHERN EXPOSURE!!!!! Just wondering what we win?!! Wonderful photos..More from us soon...(Dad wants to check how the videoing is coming along? You'll be seeing footage from the Dairy State soon!)
Fellow Travellers Hello, fellow travellers! We have just arrived back in Minneapolis after 5 days in Wisconsin on the South Shore of Lake Superior - 'the shining big sea water' - Hiawatha. Enjoyed buckets and spades on the beach, exploring the tiny town of Bayfield and boating round the Apostle Islands. Max has been introduced to MacDonalds and our intrepid sailor Marianne took the helm on a sailing boat this morning. Sorry our paths won't cross in the next few weeks but enjoy the rest of your expedition. Take care. Love to you both.
Hello guys! Hello you two! I am back from my hols now and not a moment too soon! We had more rain in the 2 1/2 weeks than they've had all year in France so I'm back to cosy old home. Glad to hear you are still enjoying your travels. It's Andrew's birthday today and he opened his card from you and it made me miss you xxx Hope you are good and things are well. Keep the photos and the news coming. All is well here apart from the odd drizzle or two.... Write soon. Love you both xxxx
You lucky people Hiya. Enjoyed (as always) reading your latest blog with so many superb pictures. Hope that you enjoy the US of A as much as Canada which was obviously amazing. Cannot imagine how you are coping with all the luggage given that it was overweight when you started?! Did you manage a run in Stanley Park?? Anyway enjoy every minute, take care of each other and drive safely. Love to you both.
PS Matthew arrives tomorrow so must get on with some tidying up.
