Wow...
What a wonderful trip!!! We are envious and looking for ways to emulate what you did. Also, thinking about selling this home and moving to something more affordable so that we can have more play money. Lots to think about. Looking forward to seeing you guys soon. r and c

The Perfect Camera
Yes, I did love that camera and it was PERFECT!!!! I was pretty bummed for about an hour but decided the only thing to do was just say "last rites" and be done with it. All I can say is UGH!!! But alas it was only camera and we're fine. Just a real bummer. You're a good friend to take on the being pissed part for me so I don't miss any vacation!

Noooooooo...... not the camera!!!!
You LOVED that camera. It was the PERFECT camera. Good heavens you are having some bad luck on this trip. You are amazing to keep your sense of humor. I'll be really pissed for you!!!

I would love to have been with you on this day. Everything is so interesting!!!

I will look for you! Mom

Hey, if you see any amber with insects in them, and they float, get one for me, please!?! Thanks. See you soon... Steve

I'm Polish Too
Now I'm sure we'll have to do this northern cruise itinerary some day. My grandparents on my Mom's side were immigrants from Poland. Sadly I have no idea where and the names are almost impossible to track - too many spelling variations. Polish food can be good ... but it's definitely not Italian that's for sure :-) Loving your blog. Thanks for doing it.

Again...thanks so much for allowing me to live vicariously through all your travels. This blog has been fabulous. Every day when I open my email I look forward to a new entry popping up! This has certainly been the trip of a lifetime. stay well my friends, Kathy B

"Only 17 days"
I think that's the first time I've heard someone say a trip was "winding down" with 17 days to go. :)

Russian Ballet
Oh Connie, the ballet was soooo beautiful. Even if you were not "into" ballet, just the white "swan" tutus of the dancers against the beautiful "lake" backdrops were awesomely wonderful to see. We'll share some wine and visit when we get back.

Hermitage
It was great but you need to do it on your own somehow... get that visa and a private guide. On a large tour you just wisk your way through it. Can''t wait to talk to you later... no chance of using Skype, even to chat, on the ship.

Frying up Ben? Not on your life ;-)
We cannot believe that it is only 15 days till we're home! Cope says to tell Ben to warm up his flippers!! And... cousin Zach will be here from Utah too race too!!!

Officially Jealous
Okay, I'm now officially jealous. Italy .. been there and loved it. Scandinavia ... not on the "to do list". St. Petersburg, the Hermitage ... Yes. But going to a ballet. How lucky can you get?? That's one experience I want to hear all about when we all get back to Trilogy. Thanks ever so much for sharing your adventures.

Great write up
I want to come to St. Petersburg!! You are a great ambassador for the city. But most of all I want to see the Hermitage. How many hours were you able to spend there? Your basil is growing like gangbusters! Even Fiorella was admiring it a few days ago.
8th July 2010

sounds amazing!
I continue to love reading about your travels. We miss you, though. Ben is ready to race Cope across the pool when you get back. He's turned into a little fish. Hopefully, not fried and sold on the street as a snack! ;)
4th July 2010

Happy 4th!
Admiring your stamina. My multi-cultural experience today will be dinner at Julio's with a friend! Elaine, Steve and Ben visiting Linda this holiday. Continued safe and fun travels. Love, Sandy

Fuel!!!
You of all people would appreciate the fuel concept!!! How much would it take to wander around. See the note from Connie in the comments... she's seen this yacht in South America too!

Octopus
Wonder if there's some way of following him on the internet? I know you can find sailboats at sea. Have to see if it's possible. Would be fun.

Mermaid and Octopus
Sorry about the Mermaid - she truly is a landmark. Funny about "Octopus". We've seen her in Puget Sound and Canada back when we had our boat up there. And, one morning on our So. American cruise we awoke, looked out the window and recognized her immediately. It was in Punta Arenas I think. You're right about small world! Have fun. We love your blog.

Unbelievable!
can you imagine how much diesel fuel a 414 foot vessel uses?! You have no idea how much I appreciate reading your missives. Thanks for including me as one of your friends! warm regards, Kathy B
27th June 2010

We enjoyed a very nice birthday dinner for two young(er) ladies. Missed you guys.

Royal Horses Only Please
Sorry but your horse would have to be owned by a Prince or somesuch ;-) No unruly everyday horses ;-)
22nd June 2010

Clean horses
So really, all you'd have to do is get your horse to Salzburg, and the wash is free?
