Osaka - Nagoya - Tokyo - Bangkok - Ko Chang - Bangkok - Trang - Ko Ngai - Ko Lanta
Well, where to start...
We will finish Japan off I guess...we went down to Osaka to meet up with some freinds, the beers started flowing early...we visited the Osaka Aquarium, supposedly one of the best in the world, it was OK, the whale sharks and manta rays were cool though, but in my mind, you just cant build a tank large enough for a whale shark!!! The night we had in Osaka was nothing but FUN!!! Osaka is nuts at night, people everywhere and it is really a sight to see for sure. After a few hours of takin down many beers, we found our selves, much to Teri's delight, at an all you can drink Karaoke bar...this was one of Teri's had to do's and it didnt dissappoint, we put on quite a show, and incurred (Teri) one tamborine injury...next morning, feeling like a bag of shit, we mustered up some energy and visited the castle in Osaka, really nice. Then we went back to Nagoya, killed our last day there with some walking around, had to say
goodbye to Ally, which was not easy, and left for Tokyo...
We arrived in Bangkok, Thailand on the 23rd of Feb and stayed in Bangkok for a couple of days, our hotel had a rooftop swimming pool to chill out in during the day, because it is FUCKIN HOT!!! i hate the heat, Teri loves it...anyways, if you havent been to Bangkok it is quite something...staying near Khao San Road (but not on it thankfully), it seems there are more travellers than Thais...the driving is nuts, green lights mean go, yellow lights mean go faster, and red lights mean go as fast as you can..our plan was to head straight away to Cambodia to go see the temples of Angkor Wat, one of the wonders of the world...that plan quickly got overrided by the call of BEACH...not wanting to walk around temples in oppressive heat al day, we decided to head over to Ko Chang, about 5hrs from Bangkok...the first night we had no accommodation so we took the fisrt one we found...it was OK if you enjoy loud music until 3am, 4-5 inch cockroaches EVERYWHERE, and people in the hut behind you refusing to pay for their hookers
at 4am, then the hooker subsequently screaming at the top of her lungs, in that ear-peircing Thai language, for an hour saying give me my money motha fucka over and over...needless to say, we needed a new place to stay...man did we find it...the polar oppoite to our previous nights digs, this place was amazing...a beautiful hut on stilts, right on the beach, sunsets from our huge verandah...no need to say more, it was perfect, the beach was great and the tanning competition was initiated...
after 4 days in Ko Chang we went back to Bangkok to go watch the gold medal hockey game which was playing at 3:15 am here....well we slept through our alaram unfortunately but heard the news and saw somw footage of downtown Van, awesome!!!
When we were in Bangkok previously, we bought a domestic flight to Trang, to go see the Trang Islands, in southern Thailand, and definitley off the tourist track...we decided to spoil ourselves and live it up for 2 days to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, 5 long, gruelling years....the place we got cannot be described in words, besides paradise...absolutely everyhting about the place was amazing, clearest water we have
ever seen, Tokay geckos in our room, whitest sand beaches, just amazing...second day we took a snorkelling trip, which was OK for me but poor Teri was a hit in her bikini with the Thai boys, kinda funny...so we just chilled and swam and had beers and played games for 3 days which led us to yesterday when we decided, actually our wallets decided, it was time to move on to Ko Lanta where we are now...we have found little patch of hippy heaven here, super cheap everything...
today we are just gonna rent a scooter and find our own slice of beach all to ourselves, and will most likely be doing that until our friend arrives on the 10th...
peacenluv to all, T&S
