Ha Noi Old QuaterHa Noi Old QuaterHa Noi Old Quater

Mum contemplates Vietnamese Life
Today we got up early head for the airport, where we board a flight to Ha Noi, Vietnam. Upon arrival we had a 3 hour wait at the airport for my parents to arrive from Australia, their first trip abroad. We were then greeted by a driver who headed for our guesthouse in Ha Noi's ald quater. Muma and Dad soon became very tense as they recieved their introduction into Asian driving, the beeping of horns, and the erratic side to side movements. The old quater here is quite facinating, and allows you to gain a real incite into the day to day life of Vietnam, and these people never seem to sleep. Ha Noi at first impression is very busy, with 4million people living here and 2million motorbikes that all seem to be one the same street at the same time with no apparent road rules. But it is great and I am loving it.
