When we arrived me toni, Barry, Lourda and Joe were given a room to get a nap in. As we arrived at 3 Am or something stupid, we pushed two doubles together to fit us all in and got a rather uncomfortable sleep. We were better off than a few other people who had to squeeze 6 people in one double.
After a few hours nap everyone but me toni and karen went on a bike tour, now this is not a normal bike tour. This envolves a bike but above the front wheel they have a seat/basket thing, and you are biked around the city really slowly looking around. But however much you look around i can guarantee you many more people are looking at the tourist looking like a tit- you might as well have a big neon sign above your head.
So not wanting to be a part of the tourist floating sign group the three of us decided to walk around saigon. If you saw the Top gear speical Siagon is where they started- bought thier bikes and introduced thier bikes in front of tanks at the museum of the vietnam war which is situated in Siagon. We went to the museum and it was really interesting with some very honest photographs that shook a few people up. An example is a few photos of american soldiers with vietnamese skulls attached to thier packs.
To cheer ourselves up we went to the local market which had everything you cold want form turtles (for food not pets), to DVDs. Me and karen enjoy bargaining (im worried that i like the sadistic nature of bargaining down to a low price then walking away anyway- it really annoys them but sometimes they shout thier lowest price to get you back) so we had fun. After about 4 hours there i got a rolex and all the films that have ever one the best picture at the oscars (so over 100 really good movies) for 25 POUND. Obviously the watch and the dvds are all real.......................................................................................

In the morning we went early to the chi chi tunnels, which are the tunnels the vietnamese used to hide from the americans and spring out from to attack. It was really interesting a\but i kept forgetting that these tunnels and the traps were meant to kill people. They had to start putting traps in thier own tunnels to get the americans when they came down to get the vietcon. The vietcong designed the traps so they wouldnt kill you they would keep you trapped and bleed you to death!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The tunnels were really claustraphobic as well about 2 feet wide, AND THEY HAD BEEN WIDENED FOR WESTERNERS so god knows that it was really like, also no light, what fun war is.
Then as soon as we got back from the tunnels its on a bus over to cambodia.
