Just lost part of my adopted family!!!!!

Well we have now lost our adopted girls as they are on their way back to Ho Chi Minh as they have another week volunteering. It was a real wrench when we left them but I know they will have a great week back at the orphanage.

So we have left our 5* hotel in Nha Trang and got a taxi to our next place which was around 1 hour away. The taxi was different as once again we travelled on both sides of the road and overtook lorries in some places you just did not want to watch.

Well we have now arrived at our new place which is literally on the beach. We had a choice of 2 types of accomodation one in a bamboo hut with a roof and no doors and the other with 4 bamboo walls. It has 4 double beds in so we think we are staying in a dorm - not sure as we are the only ones in there at the moment but hey ho you never know we might wake up to other people in our room. We do have a mosi net around our bed but it has a great big hole in so will spray the hole before we get in.

It seems due to the storm last night which we we also got in Nha Trang that a lot of the huts had a number of leaks and when we got here there were a lot of mattresses drying out.

There are a few other people staying around 5 couples and we have the whole beach to ourselves which is like paradise. I am not sure that we will think this once we have been here for 3 nights with nothing but our own company, ha ha

I think for the next few days it looks like I am going to be playing a lot of cards and reading books. I took a couple of books from the hotel to read - planning ahead I think will stand me good stead.

There are a couple of body boards here so I think we will be using them in the sea tomorrow so look forward to catching a few waves.
