We departed in the morning to take the first flight to Hanoi, with this airline called ‘Nok Air, we fly smile’ .
They meant to have this concept of being friendly (or funny, or silly) the point is they want to make the customers smile all the time (or laugh all the time). So the crews, they don’t just smile, they smile so wide. I think they have regulation to show their teeth when they smile.
It’s a budget airline so it was nice to have that kind of treat. And the flight was okay too.
We got at the Hanoi airport, we took this van to get to the hoan kiem district. I think we paid about 20 Dong.
We had lunch at this restaurant “Little Hanoi”, probably the best Pho Ive had in Vietnam. The price is over normal rate, but it was a nice and warm place to be in. We booked a travel for Halong bay and checked in at a hotel. We just walked around a bit on the evening, we were faced to death several times when we were going to cross the roads. that restaurat i'll remember the name later.close to their new year so people were riding motorcycles everywhere, they took the whole family on it, and they bought trees with small oranges, big ones. Everyone was honking the horn all the time and yelling at each other. We couldn’t figure out if they were angry or they were just excited. But it was really some situation to be. Hehehe…
We had dinner at this restaurant at the top, at the central of the area. Price was friendly and food was okay. Spring rolls are tasty. We went at the bar areas for a while and went back to our hotel to sleep. IF you’re going to Hanoi around winter, Please make sure the hotel you’re staying has a heater and it works. I’m not gonna talk about the first night we stayed there. But it was very cold.
