At our first stop in Vietnam to get our passports stamped we sat down for some food. We were all treated to a short massage by the local kids. It wasn't free however.

Early start to the day at our guesthouse before we head out for the Mekong river. This is a look from the deck of our guesthouse out onto the lake.

That is me and kiwi getting on to a boat that was really not our boat down the mekong at all. It just made for a great photo.

These were common sites all along the river. Little children waving and screaming hello to us from shore.

Just the kind of thing I would expect to see in a film was a reality. More shots of the shores along the Mekong, men working in the fields.

Part of the Mekong Tour took us to a local fabric weaving shop. Here a girl is hard a work on a red silk garment of some sort.

Great to see some Pics
Marcus, It is great to see some pictures up. Either you just started getting the up or I couldn't find them, which is just as likely since I am already getting so old I have a hard time clicking around (MySpace just blows my mind!) It looks like you are having a wonderful time, getting a great perspective on life and what really matters. You still have the great smile and great body! It will be great to chat to you once you return about everything including your new thoughts on exercise, physique stuff, etc... It is something I have been thinking a lot about lately and your pics just bring it up again in my mind. I am looking forward to the new blog entries and continually following your trip! take care, matt
