Guarantees - Thai style !!

Another beautiful morning as we bike into Phon Thong for the Saturday market. The heater in our electric shower has stopped working and I dont think it is just lack of water pressure. It is under guarantee for a year but this is Thailand so ... We go to the shop where we bought it and yes, they will honour the guarantee - shock !! But ... only if we pay for someone to come out to the house to check the unit and then we pay for any work that needs doing ? Guarantee ?!
Jai is still plodding on with her mountains of washing so I potter in the garden.
Work finished for the day and I have showered and changed and just sat down in the garden with a book when Jai's mum gets back. Apparently a house just along the road has cut down a coconut tree and could we go and collect all of the branches for her brushes. There are a mountain of them and we haul them all back up the road and stack them across our front. She doesnt work too quickly these days and this should keep her busy for a few weeks.
