Bike into Phon Thong this morning to take Jai to the hospital to visit the new baby. Apparently for the moment she is to be known as Norng Yaya and will get a proper name later although Yaya will stay with her for life. Drop Jai off then spend some time at the internet before going to collect her. Bit of shopping then back to Lhamnadie.
Jai's nephew Tia has started to demolish his mother Begat's house, next door but one to us. The concrete and block of the downstairs rooms is cracking badly and the old wooden supports that hold the upstairs are rotten and need replacing.
Wan phones Jai to ask he if she will walk around the village with a group of them supporting a candidate for the mayor's position. She disappears for the afternoon.
I go to visit George who is also a political orphan for the afternoon. We bike out to their farm as I want to see what their eucalyptus is looking like then we bike out to our place for George to see the palm oil trees.
