A great nights sleep and I dont wake up until 10:15. We briefly pop downstairs for breakfast then back to the room as I dont feel as though I have finished with my bed just yet. We phone Mr Noi to book a taxi to the bus station for tonight then Jai phones around her family for a catch up chat whilst I rest.
We decide to make an effort and go out for a walk early afternoon. It is only 34 degrees but it is really oppressive and sticky and feels as though rain is on the way - probably tonight when we are en-route to the bus station with our bags. Jai exchanges our lottery winnings and finds money at a slightly better rate than I got last night so maybe things are moving in the right direction for achange. Wego to our favourite noodle shop to eat but find it closed so settle for a 7/11 coffee back to the room and we will eat later.
Because of the traffic chaos none of the taxi drivers like doiungthe Mo Chit run from here so it is not too suprising when our 'reliable' Mr Noi phones mid afternoon to cry off tonight with car troubles - maybe he was being genuine.
About 17:00 we go downstairs and eat a large tuna baguette on the grounds that it will be the last real bread I seefor a while and I dont want anything dodgy before we sit on the bus for the night. We reclaim our stored bags, check-out then walk up to the main road for a taxi. Amazingly one stops straight away and will work on his meter and we are off. Traffic is clear tonight and we arrive at Mo Chit at 18:30. We take a seat in the aircon hall and sit and watch the world go by for a while. It is always extremely busy here no matter what time of day we are passing through. At 19:30 we walk over to Bay 47 where our bus is due to leave at 20:00 and it is just pulling in. Load up our bags then take our very comfy seats. The bus actually leaves about 10mins early nearly catching me out as I had just gone for a final leg stretch before boarding.
It is a very smooth drive and although sleep is not forthcoming I am dozing quite comfortably when we pull in to the bus station at Khorat for a 20mins break at 23:00. It isusually heaving with people here, all shovelling down food during their brief stop, but tonight is not too bad. By 23:30 weare on the road again.
