Wake up to heavy rain this morning so no work for sure. I have already persuaded Jai over the years that it is against my religion to work on Sundays.
Jai opened her first pat of butter that had travelled with us this morning. Up to now we have been using the small pats as provided by AirEgypt but they are now finished. Butter has travelled well.
Took the books that I had brought back with us to George this morning to make his day and returned with all of the books that I had left with him and am yet to read.
This evening we are invited to a small party in a house almost opposite us. The family are related somehow at great grandmother level to Jai. One of their sons is off to join the army and they are having a small send off for him and to wish him luck. The usual put a few baht in his hand and tie a piece of string around his wrist then eat and drink beer. Stay for an hour or so then leave Jai to chat to her hearts content.
