Water is back on this morning so the back garden gets a good soaking.
Jai gives some food to the monk from the village temple as she has been a bit slack in this department recently.
Jai has run out of mat grass so we have to go and see her friend Wan to get some more. Wan has been to a meeting of the village Women's Group where the publicize their work to other villages. The visitors couldnt believe that someone in Khamnadie had made the grass pieces that Jai has been working on. They suspected that the quality could only have come from a machine !! Jai is chuffed ... but wont get paid any more for her work ... boooooo
Back at the house we pick our first 'army' beans but it is obvious that we will soon be inundated with them.
Wan is starting to worry about who she can get to replace Jai when we come to England next month. Only 4 more weeks so possibly only 6 more pieces from Jai for her. Jai finishes a simple strip late morning and then has to do her least favourite job of restringing the loom for the next one.
Jai would like to be able to carry on working in England. We have spotted some grass growing in the canal at Coombe Hill that looks sort of suitable but I have told her that we wouldnt be allowed to cut it even if she really wanted to work !!
Water the back garden then go for our three laps of the reservoir.
