After spending a day on trains from Pai to Hua Hin, we both literally collapsed into states of travel tiredness and illness, all's good though when you are by the beach with a favourite new cafe that has Mac's, floral cushions, teddy bears on the seats and all varieties of croissants.

Hua Hin is the destination of choice for the German, Dutch, French ex pats. Lady boy central and Thai Bride double dates galore it's not been a highlight of the trip but our quirky pier house, room over the sea at high tide, adorable woman that owns it and endless beaches to re coup on have had their advantages.

When we first arrived, sporting the double rucksack look- Brian (my large bag) on my back, smaller rucksack imitating a baby bump on my front a delightful tailor asked if we would like a wedding dress. Not too sure what made him think in my current state of dress or actions I would be even close to being married but opportunities must I suppose!

Spent a lot of time in my new favourite cafe, wandering round an overpriced night market. Not eating, laying on a beach, buying UK Glamour for around 6 quid (11 hour coach journey later and my book reading speed is only ever increasing).

We survived scooters in Pai, waterfalls, our own cooking, only to nearly crack on the train so coach journey it is to Koh Tao. Hopefully moving away from the over priced, over European nature of Hua Hin to a more back packer centred diving resort . Prices in the south are coming as a shock compared to the north after our 2 quid a night escapades the 4 quid a night here seems somewhat OTT. Perspective required- yes, fear of shock on returning to the U.K to western prices- CHECK!

What i'm spending on sleeping, I'm saving on not eating at least! 😊
