Well, you'd never guess what happened..... I came to this internet cafe tonight to cut & paste my blog, and keep Koh Lanta's blog separate from Phi Phi. I copied all my info that I paid 90 bt for yesterday (and some of you may have read it) into a word document, made a new blog (just to be highly organised) and the ------ computer shut down and I lost all information on Koh Lanta....so I'm a little on the "mad side"!!!!!
Will try & back track to what has happened so far.....
Got off the boat and was hounded and mugged by touts at the pier. We jumped in the back of a ute which took us to a guesthouse called Palm Beach Bungalows that we didn't stay at. Searched high and low and met a few "ladymen" on the way and ended up finding ourselves a quaint little bungalow a minutes walk from the beach for 1350 bt including breakfast - Sea Pearl Beach Resort, though don't be fooled by the name, it aint no resort and farrrrr from it!! The kiddies were real excited though, and thought it was sheer luxury and ...well I guess
Saladan - Koh Lanta
This is in the main town of Koh Lanta. The banana pancake with chocolate sauce got the kiddies real excited!!compared to where we've just come from it was. It's still loaded with mozzies and we hope nothing else! It had nicely tiled floors, western toilet and hot water, air con & once again rock hard beds! We settled in and found ourselves some cheap food & bought some ice for the drinks, as there is no luxury of a fridge, or tv.
Tomorrow is our anniversary 15 years (less for murder)!!
