"They're everywhere!" doesn't quite some it up, it was like the film, the birds, but with monkeys. I thought they were quite nice and friendly although Helen was wary of their evil stares and threatening advances. First I shall explain that we are still in a parachuap kiri khan, because we have a nice cheap place today with people who do our laundry for peanuts. Today we decided to climb Khao Chong Krajok (mirror tunnel Mountain) (or Monkey mountain). It is topped by a wat (temple) with spectacular views. During our time with Tim and Becks in Laos, Tim told us about a place that they had visited called Prachuap Khiri Khan in which there was a temple that had been overrun by a clan of monkeys. Legend has it that they hitched a ride on a bus from Bangkok in search of some Mangos. Tim had also bet us that we could not reach the top of the temple through the hordes of Monkeys. They themselves had tried and failed. He also told us about a beach that was situated in a military air base.
