Our cute room here in Krabi! Our cute room here in Krabi! Our cute room here in Krabi!

Who needs the Hilton!! Lol !!
Chan Cha Lay. A pretty sounding name for a pretty little hotel. We are right in the heart of Krabi Town but despite that we have found this lovely little hotel that probably dates back to the 1960s when backpackers first come to Thailand. There is a lovely little garden and a space to sit outdoors. The shower/ bathroom is open to the stars so looking forward to a shower tonight. Although I just saw a family of monkeys run past the open wall of the bathroom so had better watch out, they may try to join me!

We have now been in Thailand for almost a month. Even though we have travelled around Thailand several times before we always manage to find new little gems.

We started off slowly this time spending two whole weeks in our first destination. Since then we alternated between very basic to more civilised accommodations. Each place has had a different charm, even busy places that we expected to hate, but were a necessary stop over, had something different to offer.

We spent today, our last day in Thailand, walking along the banks of the river that runs through Krabi town and out into the sea. Now we're back in our room escaping the heat of the mid day sun.

Last night we found a fantastic Italian owned restaurant that cooked a great massaman curry then moved onto a live music bar. Think we'll repeat the whole process tonight!

Tomorrow we fly back to Kuala Lumpur for some city life!

Update. we spent our last afternoon visiting temples
