The Big Blue

We arrived in Ko Tao after a short ferry trip to begin our PADI 4 day open water scuba diving course at The Big Blue diving school.

There was much more class work and home work than anticipated (which Dave struggled to cope with, being one of a select few ever to fail the theory test, but the pass mark mysteriously reduced after the test so he got through ok). The diving itself was amazing, and on the 4 dives some amazing things were seen including sharks an octopus and angel fish. We had a dive team consisting of us 3 and 3 Danes, who were pretty cool and we spent an evening, post diving, playing pool (which we lost miserably). The third day of diving was a struggle after far too much sang som and chang and 4 hours sleep, hazh turning a dodgy shade of green on the boat ride out. We have our final dives tomoz and will become qualified open water divers. Woo!!
