We boarded the plane for a 40minute flight from railay to koh samui, we took off, got some lunch and landed, ha!! We stayed in koh samui for 3nights from the 19th to 21st, and stayed in a lovely guesthouse house called "penzys guesthouse", she is an asia woman and so so nice! She gave us her mobile numer on arrival encase we needed anything during our stay. koh samui was just nice, there was loads of shops and people tryin to drag you in every few seconds! But then we found a gorgeous beach, where the sand is like flour! We spent the first day relaxing on the beach listening to the waves.
The second day we booked a jungle safari tour! This was a brilliant day. We were collected in a safari jeef and jumped in the back with 4others. When we got to the jungle we went elephant trekking, then we watched an elephant show, monkey show and crocadile show. These were all good, but im just not sure how animal friendly it all was, which made some of it very uncomfortable! But I did hold a tiger and fed him his bottle, how cool was that!!!
I was hyper after doing that, it was so cuddley, although i didnt dare take the bottle away!!! We then went on a hike, up rocks and hills to get to a waterfall, the water fall was nice but i was starving at this stage and finnegans dont operate without food, never mind climb mountains!! Ste got into the water and cooled down, then he bought me a can of coke to keep me happy for a while, ha! The safari jeep then took us along dirt tracks up the moutains, ste thought this was great I was afraid to look down!! At the top we stopped for lunch, yey!! we found monkeys outside so dr.dolittle (ste) saved some food in a tissue and fed it to the monkeys on the way out, they even took his bottle of water and drank from it! We went to a secret garden in the jungle, then headed back! It was a really good trip and something different and I held a tiger, did I mention that! haha!!
That day I had saw an advertisment for an ice bar, it looked so cool!! So we asked penzy for directions an found it
elephant trekking
The Poor elephant carrying us two! easy enough in a tuk tuk. Another couple were also interested, so they came with us. There Linda and Eric from Sweden. We had a great night with them, we also met up with them in koh phangan and koh tao for a night out! The ice bar was brilliant!! We got big furry hats, coats and gloves before we went but we had flipflops on so our feet were FREEZING! It was -8 degrees in the ice bar!! It was amazing, they had a tuk tuk taxi and seats and a bar all made out of ice! I couldnt understand why my cocktail kept filling up, then ste explained its because the cup was made out of ice and it was melting, ha!!! It was a great experience but we could only stay for one drink and left before we got frost bite, it was well worth it though!
So the next day we packed up our bags and moved on to home of the full moon party koh phangan!
